I'm April 20th IP, still waiting for DM, paid RPRF upfront. There is 3 of us on my application. Hoping for no passport request as a British passport holder. Hoping

Hello Sureshaswini thanks for ur concern , yes i paid my RPRF on April 20th when requested by CIO ,and then my ECAS changed to IP same day April 20 but was updated couple days later online . hoping to hear something this week :)

Can we receive our passport from CIC at a different address than its on the file.
I mean we have to send a prepaid envelope with our mailing address on it for the passport. Can that address be different than the address on file ?

No ECAS update for me today :(

If you want to send some updated documents to CPC Ottawa regarding your file, what address do you send it to?
Does anyone know?

As per cic website, you are supposed to call them first to report any updates or changes. I guess it depends on the type of update.
Did you get any additional doc request?

You can also use this form to submit but better to call them first

Nah not really. I am just thinking of sending an updated PCC from home country. Mine is definitely expired now since we just passed the one year mark.
It takes a month or so to get it. Trying to decide what to do. According to GCMS notes, they have not started looking into it. I am 99% sure they will send me a PCC request as soon as they open the file.

I'm on the same boat, but when I was looking into others timelines, they'll ask for PCC when they get their IP or RPRF. Have you got your IP yet? or have you seen any additional Doc after IP?
Thanks.

Hmm, you may be right. Mine expired too. i had imagined security is done prior to rprf. since i got rprf without rcmp or pcc i m hoping they dont. But then i have always had bad luck with cic since application.
i was thinking the same but i dont want to be in a position where i get ppr and i dont have pp with me because its gone for pcc.
somehow i never feel the relevance of gcms. by the time i get an update (1+ month) things are changed. so its never real time

Don't worry too much about it. CIC has been dealing with an enormous backlog lately, and for that reason NS has been processing PR files as well, not just Ottawa. There are applicants who have gotten every piece of correspondence from NS throughout their processing, and just the final PPR email from Ottawa. The source of the MR email doesn't seem to matter time-wise, and the time at which the file is transferred to Ottawa carries less meaning now than what it used to. I highly doubt that getting emails from NS would mean that the PR would be received significantly later.

The call centre agents are notoriously clueless about what's going on, and they're also not allowed to say much more than what the official guideline is (17 months processing time). If you look at all the people who got PPR yesterday (me included), no one's file had been processed for 17 months in Ottawa. The 17 months is just a target for them, basically to cover their own asses, so that when the vast majority of applicants get processed faster than that (although there's always some exceptions) they can pat themselves in the back and say they did a good job for going under the target.

Thanks Lisa for your response... I appreciate that. Hopefully I will get my PR by July-August..

I just got DM on ECAS. :)
