i was wondering ,i paid my rprf fee on 15th and cic recieved my pcc and schefule a background on 26th april .my status is in process since 16th april so when they recieve the police report and schedule a background do they mention pcc recieved on ECAS or not.what comes on ecas? ::)

I'm not sure about this one. They requested to re-send the PCC was for my home country not RCMP. My status is also in process...there is nothing regarding to PCC on that. And I have never ordered any notes before...

Hey toleoring,
Do you know why you got a police certificate request again? Was it expired when you send it in the first place? I'm thinking if I should anticipate it or not, although it seems that you got it with your RPRF request.
Thanks!

Yes, it turns out the PCC requirement for China is different from other countries. On the CIC website it says to have original and translated (and certified) copies, which was what I did....Turns out, for China, the original referred by CIC was actually a notarized copy, hence the "original notarial no crime record certificate". CIC doesn't accept the original record from the police station in China. Very weird and confusing, but it's the way it is. So I had to redo it.

And yes, I got two emails that day: one for RPRF, the other for the police record. My status also changed to in process from medical received the same day.

ECAS website is down.. could be a good sign.. a massive update of IPs and DMs perhaps? :D

Hi Guyes,

Could you please explain to me what is the difference between inland and outland applicants? I am in Ontario and I applied as Provincial Nominee. I received an email from CIO saying that my file has been sent to Visa office outside of Canada (in Europe). I can see here in the discussion that the only offices mentioned are Sydney and Ottawa. Do I miss anything? Am I considered an inland applicant? If yes, why my application has been sent to an office outside Canada?

Thanks in advance,

CORRECT. Travel only with your PR card and it takes 25-30 business days

Hi Deepdeep,

I see that you are knowledgable about immigration stuff. Could you please explain to me what is the difference between inland and outland applicants? If yes, why my application has been sent to an office outside Canada? For example, are you inland or Outland applicant and is your application processed in or out of Canada?

Thanks in advance,

Thanks in advance,

If u have applied within Canada i.e., if u r already living in Canada then u r inland. If u currently outside Canada and u don't have legal status in Canada right now then u r outland applicant.
Also, if applied to Visa office inside Canada then Inland otherwise outland.

It is really strange that ur file was sent outside Canada. U should call CIC and ask y they did this. Maybe they sent for some background check and will recall the application once its done.
But still, if u r living inside Canada at the time a decision is made, u will be considered Inland applicant.

Basically, applicants apply from with-in Canada ==> inland, others will be outland. Most of cases, inland application will be sent to CIO and then process by CIO and CPP-O. I don't know what visa office you put in your application. Maybe that's the reason your application has been sent over there.

Thank you for your reply.
I just called cic call centre and the agent told me that CIO office decide where to forward the applications. Could you please let me know what visa office did you mention in your application (in the general form)? Is it Ottawa/Sydney or some other visa office outside of Canada?
