I got a document request today from ottawa. does that mean my file is processing or its normal to get requests like that? I'm June/2014 applicant too. At least you have something from them. IN my case, I haven't heard anything from them since September last year. It's a good sight for you I think. I saw a lot of people got their passport request right after additional documents.

yes its normal and yes its in processing . What document they requested ?

my wife is the principal applicant. we got married after submitting our application. We got the request to submit my(dependent) documents in january and we did in february. now in one of the questionnaire for principal applicant, my wife answered a question wrongly so they asked her to re-read the question, answer it correctly and send that scanned document to them. and yes they do mentioned that file is in ottawa for further processing. but we are not sure if they started processing our file or just they just uploading the info to there databases.

2-3 months on an average.

Having receiving a bloody aor after 10 months of wait while watching applicants who submitted 2-4 months after me moving ahead, i was starting to be hopeful again that may be now things will move faster. But after 1 week and no MR, do i wait another 10 months. if thats the case i rather go back than get emotionally tortured by an unprofessional institution. At this rate even 2 year will be less. And i have done nothing to deserve this maltreatment. I see many march-may applicants getting ip and PPR and here i am dragging my rotten application at speed of a snail.

I have always heard of some unfortunate applicants who, for no mistake of theirs fall into a special category that drags over years without any valid reason. Having no dependent, masters category, 1500 CAD opnp, full time job, i guess i am fate's chosen/fallen one.

True. Getting AOR means nothing. We are happy with AOR but intact its a long journey. CIC is torturing everyone.
