Hi all

Today I have got a very strange update in ECAS

After decision made on 1sep I clicked on the status of decision made today and I got the the 7 th line which is

They have sent me a corespondent today 5/9 and I have to provide the required .

As Iam aware that after decision made should recive a request for passports ?


Any one got the same update on ECAS .

Also please advise what kind of new request that they can request after decision made

What was asked today? are you yet to receive the email? May be ppr comes - on the way may be.

I am an Ontario PNP applicant from Iran.
I was asked to send my police certificate and CV in May 2015.
IP since June. It has been 13 months since I submitted my application to CIC. It should not take more that 15 months. Right ?

Anyone on the same boat ?

Gildeh: Your situation really sucks. I donno y few of you guys are just stuck for god-knows-why. Have you called cic lately? I know they are good for nothing. Have you contacted your MP? or GCMS

Mine is over 13 months as well, almost 5 months into IP now...What does CIC say when you call them now that's over 15 months?? Have you got any recent GCMS notes recently? Do you know if it's the background check that takes forever?

Although I applied for my GCMS notes and hasn't received anything from them for 40 days now.

I know devpas....
I called CIC after 15 months and they said it is normal and 15 month is an average and it may take longer!!! I asked if any document is needed and the agent said no!!!
I have never contacted MP neither gotten GCMS! I am not sure if these help... I am really pissed off...

15 month is normal! And average! Well I know what's not normal.. are their brains. Have you ever told them that applicants from june-july have got pr long time ago? Do they check your file at least or they simply rant... you should contact MP. They give u the most concrete honest information within a week. it helped me.

Do I have to submit any support documents? If yes, which ones?

Also, what type of information should I select for permanent residence application?
Physical file or notes in electronic file?

There doesn't seem to be any real pattern for the ECAS updates. I've seen people get updates days after, and others have waited 4-5 months.
