You licence with correct residential address (where you want your PR card to be mailed) will serve both as your photo ID and residential proof. Other than that they will only need your:

PASSPORT (on which CIC stamped Visa)
Documents you received in the mail along with VISA
Your Work Permit.

Thanks for the info. I have no other photo id other than the passport. For residential proof I can take along a bank letter. Hope this will suffice.

Someone who landed on 4th june called cic, he was told that card was mailed on 27th aug. pls let us know once u receive it. I wouldn't have bothered about a card had I not planned my vacation with high cancellation/change fees. it is important never to take things for granted when it comes to cic.

I applied for GCMS notes under the privacy act for the second time about 34 days ago (28th Jul.), but haven't received it in the promised 30 days time. The first time they sent it to me exactly on the 31st day.

Is this normal? Anyone has any suggestion regarding this? The only thing that comes to my mind is sending an email and asking about it!

I am in process for over 3 months aswell. Could you share your timeline?

I am thinking of applying for GCMS notes aswell... how can I apply for them?

Just got it yesterday. 90 days. The card is nice and unique though. Not as bland as the driver's license and OHIP card design.

Mine just states the day I landed and became a PR.

Definitely one less thing to worry.Waiting for card is nothing. u r right.
I have to travel soon. Tickets non-refundable. And I may not get long vacation later. So it is worrying.

Today I have got a very strange update in ECAS

After decision made on 1sep I clicked on the status of decision made today and I got the the 7 th line which is

They have sent me a corespondent today 5/9 and I have to provide the required .

As Iam aware that after decision made should recive a request for passports ?


Any one got the same update on ECAS .

Also please advise what kind of new request that they can request after decision made
