Guys I just received this, I dont understand what they are asking? What I am thinking is since my passport is expiring soon they are asking for renewed passport...coz its scanned copy....I dont know whether should I be happy or not...

They want to make sure that you have enough time left to get the visa stamped on your passport. If your passport is expiring soon. You will need to get it renewed...

Well, it was a little different for her,

We applied for her WP from India in Jan 2013, she got her med request around 20 Feb, she did it in 1st week of March, and she got her WP in the end of March,,
I added her in my app in April, requested CPP-O to use the same meds, I forwarded the med request email from cic delhi and the receipt of medical clinic and all other paper work, explaining them that she has done her meds in feb 2013 and if they want she can go for one more meds..

They responded in email that they dont need anything else.

@pari. PPT is passport..send them the photocopy of Passport..all pages... and also make sure you attach information that you have already applied for renewal, attach the receipt or other supporting documents so they can believe it.
make sure you can write a letter explaining them with polite language that because of delay in app processing you are in this situation.

you are very close to getting your passport request.. make sure you follow up in next week with an email on status of your application

Congrats canam123! The Officer at the Port of Entry (landing) office will collect it once u re-enter in Canada as a permanent resident. Make sure you take your work permit with you when u go for the landing procedure.

Also, I have a question for you. I see here u paid ur RFRF in April, were you asked to pay the fees? were you also asked to update your personal history since the application date? If so, was there any officer's code at the end of that request letter or it simply said DOCQSW?

I am willing to know coz I received a request letter and unfortunately I didnt see any officer's code so im guessing, an officer wasnt assigned to my application at that time.
