Well Pari, I don't know how long your passport has to expire but the due date given to you was yesterday. it's scary because you don't know if it's for passport request. in my case, my passport has less than 6 months to expire and I submitted it. They gave me the visa to my passport expiry. I just travelled back home, renewed the passport and landed.

So you can't send the current one. It doesn't have enough time left on it. It would be better to wait for the new one and then send a scanned copy. Good luck.

September is a very close one. how long do you still have to wait for the passport? I will suggest you write the officer that made the request and inform him about your passport renewal process.tell him you're currently waiting for a new one and when you are likely to receive it.I believe they will understand. getting passport is not a small thing.countries take it seriously.

Since its been a month i should receive the new passport within 2 weeks, hopefully. But I will send an email to them explainig that I am waiting

I think in Canada it is Date/Month/Year format. Are you sure? I am so shocked by the lack of apathy on CIC part. First they typed PPT and now the date confusion. If they cared they should have written passport and September 07, 2013 for instances. Such a shame.

Like coshx and samlogani said, you should send the scanned copy now and provide proof of your new passport application and write them that you will provide the new passport photocopy as and when you receive the same.

I checked the AOR and there its month, date and year...so thats what i guessed they cant send me email to submit docs on same day...

In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

· My name and UCI

I'm so furious right now I cannot even begin to describe. After getting decision made and sending ott email and fax about my ppr after waiting 18 months this is the response I get:

Our office has not sent any request letter regarding the decision of your permanent resident’s application.

No further action is required by you at this time.

An immigration officer will be in contact with you if any further correspondence is needed.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

Honestly I'm beggining to think these ecas updates are just another strategy to give people hope their process it moving so they don't bother cic so much. Before you only got decision made after ppr, now I see so many people getting it and still waiting so long for the stupid ppr. I'm tired of all this.

But I received the same standard reply on Thursday for my app processing status and received PPR on Saturday
I hope you get PPR in a day or two...

they dont wanna accept that they made a mistake, so they replied like that..hold on buddy its coming
