Please advise how to get police clearance in Dubai and what are the requirements. I also need NBI clearance. It is for me & my husband, we're living here in Deira.

Just want to add some info to what our good friend bcpnpnom have already provided us and in case you/someone else needs it:

As per Dubai Police Website (http://www.dubaipolice.gov.ae/dp/jsps/content/flat-content.do?contentCode=84395)

Service Fees:
* Good Conduct Certificate for outside UAE = 300 Dhs.
* Good Conduct Certificate for expatriates = 200 Dhs.

Will share our experience here in AUH...just bring ur original passport (w/ photocopy) and emirates ID and 1 passport size picture to any police HQ in ur place...as for NBI clearance, u have to ask a form from Phil Embassy and have ur finger printing also sa police HQ. U have to buy an Ecard for the pyment of both police n Nbi. U have to send ur NBi application form to Pinas after.

"My status from 'Application Received' to "In Process" took more than 2 months. This is because I used bank draft as payment for rprf. I wasnt aware that bank draft took really, really long to be encashed since it will be sent to Canada for encashment since it is in CAD currency. Unlike paying peso MC, this will take less than a week. Therefore it is advisable here in the Philippines/CEM to pay in peso. Others' status changed to In Process in less than 2 weeks." -- JaneSmith

A landing experience from our friend...


"Hi all. I wanted to share landing experience and hope some will learn from this. I was nominated by Manitoba Province in March 2012, got my passport request in August, sent it to CPP Ottawa in September and got it the same month. Note, I had included a plane ticket indicating I was traveling to my home country in September and asked for expedited service. I landed in Winnipeg, Manitoba November 20, 2013 at 5:47 p.m. The landing process was straight forward and smooth. I should mention that I was thoroughly prepared. I had my goods to follow list and personal effects that I brought typed, and two copies for each. The officer asked for my passport and any other documents I may have for him. I gave him what he requested. He asked me to follow him, paged a cashier to process my goods to follow list, and he took care of my Confirmation of Permanent resident paperwork.
They stamped everything, gave me copies, explained that I had to keep COPR safe as I'll need it to process other necessary documents. I had my bank statement as well as cash in hand. I was never asked for either, nor did I volunteer the information. The whole process took 17 minutes.
The very next day I went to Service Canada to apply for SIN number, process took 13 minutes, then stopped at the bank to open a bank account. I spent almost an hour here because I wanted to compare products with other banks. I then wen to the Health card place to apply for health card, this process took 13 minutes. So, for those who are planning to land, be prepared and all will go well.

- Declaration Form (1st Immigration officer will give it back with some stamp, initials)
- COPR

- Have convicted before? (Me: No)
- Have you been rejected in Canada before? (Me: No)
- Are you Single or Married? (Me: Married)
- How many kids do you have? (Me: 1)
- Do you have common law partner? (Me: No)
- Do you have any other children? (Me: No)
- Do you have any address in Canada? (Me: Yes)

Then the officer gave me another piece of paper to write the complete address in Canada including contact number.
Me and my wife sign the COPR.

Congratulations and welcome to Canada.
You will receive your PR Card in 2 months to the address you provided.

“On my part, the queue is very short. On the first immigration officer it think i am the 8th in the row and takes only about 5 minutes interview.

Yup, we already got them. It is Aed210.00 and we got them after 2 days. You can also apply online for Aed110.00 you can receive it after a week. They need passport, visa, Emirates Id copy & photo.
For nbi, we'll try to get it next month.

Reply from our friend who is also a PNP applicant: "I know of 2 email address where we can send info updates on our application. They are mpnpapplicationhelp @ gov.mb.ca and mpnpsupporter @ gov.mb.ca. I will send info to both email address once I change address and that's gonna be soon."
