I sent in my request on February 25, and just got it back today. April 26. No problems with it -- yippee ;D!

I mailed my application April 9th and I recieved it today May 28th so it took 7 weeks only.
I did put on the package expedite for canada immigration for May 14th Maybe that helped with getting it earlier
Also I submitted my fingerprints on a piece of printer paper and not cardstock and they read my prints fine.
Good luck to everyone that is waiting for theirs

My husband's took 8 weeks! I live in Toronto

Our fingerprint request took 6 weeks.

We just sent the request on May 25th, was received May 27th.

Trying to decide if we want to submit the package as soon as we can get the rest of the paperwork ready and just send the FBI check after or wait until we get it back?

:S

I sent mine 5/18 with the reason to process faster as Immigration Paperwork.
The money order has not been cashed yet as of today.

mailed november 26th, arrived december 2nd, arrived February 27th. :( I wrote on the outside and inside that I needed it by december 15th, but obviously that didn't happen...

Its been 5wks and the money order has not been cleared yet so I am going in next week to have the additional fingerprintis done. I was told by the fingerprinting tech that my prints were not great (cus I wash my hands often!). I wish I had thought about doing this much much sooner. I am sure many of us wish the same thing.

You can tell when a money order is cashed? I had suggested to my husband to do the credit card form so we could see when it was processed but if there is a way to follow the money order, that would be great.

Yes we can. I have a money order (western union) that I got from the grocery store. If you kept the receipt you can call the numbe. For wesern union money order the number is 1-800-999-9660. Make sure you have the money order receipt cuz you will be prompt to put the receipt number.

Unfortunately mine has not been cashed yet ???

Looks like the FBI has picked up the pace. They received my husband's fingerprints on April 7 and mailed the response on May 24. So about 6 weeks. They charged my credit card about a week before I got the letter in the mail.

Fortunately I got my package back from the FBI today.
Unfortunately, it took them nearly 3 months to decide that they should be rejected.
Now I get to go beseech the poor RCMP in the next town over to do my prints again, pay for all the postage again, and wait another 3 months, and I'm not sure why this time the outcome will be any different.

Awww sorry to hear! :( I am afraid thats whats going to happen to me too as my prints weren't good at all.

From your signature I saw you applied for PR without FBI certificate. How did you do it? Where are you going to send your certificate once you receive it? Is there a time limit on the application once you sent without the certificate? I appreciate your input..I may have to do that if it doesn't come for me as well.. I am getting more fingerprinting done this week just in case it gets rejected.

I called the CIC Call Centre before filing our PR and they said the only thing you can send in the application without is the police clearance -- as long as it follows later. Since it had been an extended period of time since we sent it and weren't expecting it back any time soon, they said to just go ahead and mail it in, and that this was fairly common.

I'm going back to the local RCMP detachment today to have my prints done again, but I'm worried because I don't know why this set will be any better then the first :/ All that postage down the tubes makes me sad :(

As to where to mail it, I'm not sure if you mail to CPC-M or Buffalo directly, my plan was, once they came back to me, I was going to phone and find out exactly where to send it, since my case seems stuck in between the two atm.

Yup, that's what I did also. I am just hoping they are OK to use.
Given the other replies, it sounds like we won't see it cashed til they actually process ours.
