My request took about 6 weeks to process, I sent in them in early April and got the letter back in mid-May. I was showing off my letter of no record at work (I'm silly like that) and my boss said "not everyone can get one of those." ;)

lol souds like something i would do when i get mine back! ;) I was telling my husband that I should get an A for an effort for completing all the paperwork for the immigration! I really felt like I was writing papers to be graded! (well in the way I am i guess ???) Good that you got yours back in 6 weeks!

Sent on 18-Mar-2010
Received today - 01-Jun-2010
~11 weeks / 75 days from Point A --> Point B --> Point A

I can live with that since I am still waiting for my first AOR (FSW)

Also for those wondering, they cash/proces your fees even if they reject your prints.
They do however send you a form to send in with your second batch so you don't have to pay the fee a second time.
I had really hoped we might make forward progress by the end of the summer but now it seems all hope of that is lost :(

I know how you feel. I should have sent my app out in January. Now it's June-July... IF my prints are accepted (for the 3rd attempt!!!) Good luck, hope your outcome is better.

I was able to find my receipt for the actual letter confirmation of them receiving it.
I mailed it 5/19, they rcv'd it 5/21. Still outstanding money order.

Adetia,

Did CIC give you a deadline for FBI certificate? I am thinking about sending my application without it if I don't have it back by the end of this month. I have 2 certificats that are expiring at the end of July and I sure don't want to redo them.

Again I am sorry to hear your prints got rejected. :( that sucks.

I tried checking the status of my moneyorder tonight and it keeps bumping me to Customer Service - who is not available at this hour (like 7am-7pm or something). I hope that isn't bad news!

So far, no. Though, admittedly, I marked a made up deadline on the outside of my envelope, and marked it clearly: Please Expedite for Canadian Immigration, 2nd Request, Urgent! Due *made up date goes here* hehehe :)

Hopefully it will help, and even if it doesn't, it made me feel better.

sneaky but good idea ;D I should do that next time.

Mailed and received - week of January 4-8, 2010 (cannot remember exact dates)
Requested - February 28th
Rejection - March 20th
Rejection noticed received - April 1st
New prints sent - April 9th, received April 12th
Mailed back June 14th
Received June 25th - NO ARREST RECORD-FBI

9 weeks with 10 days mailing time. What a relief!!! Good luck to others who are on their multiple requests.
We sent in three copies of prints on the second request (we didn't pay the second time, just sent in a copy of the first rejection). The lady who took the fingerprints said that because we had rejections she filled out and signed a pre-printed form stating that due to deterioration etc.... these were the best prints available. Maybe this makes the FBI put more effort in processing them.

Application received by FBI on 1st week of Jan 2010 did not mark urgent, never heard from them till Feb then sent 2nd request in last week of Feb marked urgent this time 1st week of April received rejection from fbi for 1st application that finger prints were not clear so sent them back next day.

Then rcvd the certificate of 2nd application which was marked urgent in 3rd week of April. and just now rcvd the certificate of 1st application which was not marked urgent so now have 2 certificates.

1st application took 5 months
2nd application 2 months

so moral of the story DO MARK your time line they will speed up the process else you will be hanging

I sent mine off mid April and got the letter June 13th. It was about 8 weeks

My guess is early August based on their current wait times.

The FBI got my hubby's prints on May 17 and we have not gotten anything back as of yet. We put a request date of June 30 on the envelope (not that they look at it anymore though)
