I sent my FBI request and finger print cards (4 of them) Oct 9th, was rec'd by FBI Oct 11th. Got letter that they rejected my finger prints today. :'( Waaaaaaaaha.

Me too. Code L0008 - Characteristics weren't well enough defined.

There are many helpful suggestions in this thread...I've only browsed over a couple of pages and seen many suggestions and observations which I find helpful. Thanks to everyone for sharing, it'll take me some time to read, but this is giving me some ideas of how to continue to tackle this problem. 8)

Delivered: August 27th
Payment taken: Sept 24th
Recieved Certificate: September 28th (in Canada)

Dumb question, but if your credit card is charged, does that mean your fingerprints are good and they won't refuse the application? because I know the FBI will refuse to process if the finger prints aren't good, so my fiance decided to make 5 sets of fingerprints for them.

Dumb question, but if your credit card is charged, does that mean your fingerprints are good and they won't refuse the application? because I know the FBI will refuse to process if the finger prints aren't good, so my fiance decided to make 5 sets of fingerprints for them.

If your credit card is charged, it means they will place the fingerprint card into their computer to process it, and if the computer cannot make out the prints, it might still be rejected. I'm on my third try, and each time I've sent several fingerprint cards. The letter I got back states that they might not process all the cards they receive from me...in other words, they may have only attempted to process one of those cards...but maybe I got an agent who did try each one (I hope) to give me a better shot at success at each try. I paid the first time, and got a second submission after the first one was rejected, free of charge. After the second (free) attempt got rejected I had to pay the fee again (which just got charged to my credit card week before last) and am hopeful that this time one of the cards I sent (I sent them 3 fingerprint cards this time) will work. If not, my next attempt will be on another "free" try.

O Praise The Lord!!!! I got my FBI report!!!!! It finally went thru!!! Just received it yesterday, found it after work late last night....I was doing a happy dance giggling like a young child at Christmas! ;D

I remebered reading your posts about all the issues you were having with your fingerprints. I've always hoped that you would get the results soon
