Mag 3 months na sa August 15 yung pp sa cem and med expiring on August 28th so I decided to send them another email, they replied on the second attempt. Nakulitan na siguro sakin. lol

Here it is:

Please be informed that file is with visa officer for review.

I also did my 2nd medical in the end of July and I was also asked to submit Appendix A, which I have already submitted.

I have a question about the reply email that CEM sent to you before your VISA was issued. What did they say in the reply? Did they imply that your VISA will be issued soon?

Hey Vinta, like meoh said, try your MP, CEM is very hard to get anything out of, even before the strike. My timeline is very close to yours, and the only way I could just get a simple answer to the simplest of questions was by going through the MP.

The MP's office told me, they are in the process of doing the back ground checks, and that my wife and sons medicals "could" be extended by the VO.

I am not holding key breath on either point. Especially while the work stoppage is in progress. But I did get the caveat that our application is still with in normal times, blah blah blah.

And I was asked to come back to the MP, if there is no update or change by the beginning of September. So basically still in the same position, we where in before. That is ok though, now that there has been an inquiry through the ministers office, and my MP. They know (more for our piece of mind) that we are not willing to be screwed around. I will allow time for the labour process to work through the work stoppage, but once that is over back to hounding them.

Hi! Here's the reply of FRU to my consultant on Aug 1:

Unfortunately, we no longer have the original email sent to you on April 12, 2013.
What we have is the letter attached and the notation we made on file.
Guess this is once correspondence that fell in the cracks.

Nonetheless, we are moving forward with this case. We have received your client's passport and required documents.
These were forwarded to the visa officer for final review and will this happen within the next 2 weeks.

Kindly provide us with the complete mailing address with telephone numbers where the package is to be sent.
