Hello fellow Pharmacists!! ;D
I need some help, or more like advice.
I recently sent my application under both NOC 2121 and 3131 .. no biggy I am qualified for both, I have a BS in Pharmacy from my native country (Syria) and a Master's in Biochemistry from the US. I picked 2121 as my primary since 3131 was very close to the cap when I was sending my application, and I didn't want to risk it.
My status changed yesterday (June 20, 2011) to RBVO .. so I assume my file is already in Buffalo by now.
I am already approved by The Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) to take the evaluation exam, and I have a letter that they said I could use to get a visitor visa to take the exam that happens as you all know, twice a year.
MY QUESTION: What do I do now? Wait for the entire process to land, or get a visitor Visa (not sure if they will approve it!) and come to Canada to start the equivalency process!? First the "Evaluation exam", then take the class to prepare for the Qualifying Examinations, then take the PART I (MCQ) and PART II (OSCE) to get my license.
If I wait for the immigration process, no one knows how long it will take!
I currently live in Los Angeles, I am a licensed pharmacist in California and I work at a hospital as a clinical pharmacist since 2.5 years. Previously pharmaceutical research scientist for 10 + years.
