Quick question:
For sponsoring parents with dependent children, do I need to put names and date of birth of dependent children as well?
Or only Parents names and their dates of birth?
We do not know exactly how the form will look like. But get those information ready. You need the principle applicant's name and date of birth for sure. (if it's your parents, pick one of them as the principle applicant. The other one will be the dependent. (doesn't matter if the other one is financially dependent of the PA. It's just how the application is format)

Hi guys,
I have a question regarding previous sponsorship. I sponsored my wife 2 years ago and I still have her undertaking. She will counted I my fa gm ily size for us 2 and my parents additional 2 with total family size of 4. As she is already included for family income. Should I still answer the question as 1 person sponsored in past? Will it impact my family size income?
Your family size doesn't changed if your wife is still undertaking. You still count your wife in the family size. Again, we can have better idea once the actual EOI application form is being posted.

Hi Friends,
I'm an Independent contractor and have a registered company in which I'm the only employee. I worked in IT and my agency pay to my Company (Incorporated) directly instead of me.The personal income(150 in T4) I took from my company is less and not meeting MNI.

Can I show both Personal and Business income together to meet the MNI criteria? That means line 150 from T4 + line 300 from T2?
Thanks in advance.
Over the years, NOA line 150 have been used as the income requirement for PGP. If you have done any research ahead of time, you would know how to do better tax planning. It's a bit late now at the game to change old tax returns.

Hello,

I am applying for PGP sponsorship. My wife will co-sign the application but she is on EI (Maternity). Would she be eligible as co-signer as one of eligibilty requirement is that you should not be on any social assistance.

Thank you

but her combined income would meet the requirement. Her husband have income in all the years. So she can apply.
You can try, But I know you need 3 NOA's. They verify with CRA or request you to provide them. If that is the case, every immigrant in his/her first year of landing can start sponsoring without contributing to the Canadian economy. Never do they mention anything about other country's income taxes below.

Hello

Question regarding the Interest form for the PGP program

I am a canadiam PR card holder and my PR card expired in Septemeber, The new PR cards are taking forever to renew. I had already applied for renewal in July but haven't received a new one yet.

My question is , For the proof of status document, what should I still submit ?
It says we can submit our passports, does it mean Canadian passport only for Canadian citizens or can I submit my Indian passport since I am not a citizen yet? Or should I submit my scanned copy of PR card even if it is expired.

You can submit PR card or IMM1000 or CoPR

Below is excerpt from IRCC (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/family-sponsorship/sponsor-parents-grandparents/tell-us-you-want-sponsor-parent-grandparent.html)

We accept expired documents. You don’t need to renew your document to fill out the form or to apply.

Make sure you upload the same document with your interest to sponsor form that you submit with your application, if you’re invited to apply.

You can include any of these:

You can include any of these:

  • Canadian permanent resident card (both sides)
  • record of landing (IMM 1000) (only if you didn’t get a PR Card)
  • Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5292 or IMM 5688)
  • Canadian citizenship certificate or card (both sides)
  • Canadian birth certificate
    • If you were born in Quebec, we’ll only accept a birth certificate from the Directeur de l’État civil.

Hi All, I have a question regarding PGP.
Me and My wife both are planning to invite our parents. i came here in 2016 November on work permit and my wife came as dependent with me and in 2018 we got PR and my wife got Job as well in 2018 (so she meets the financial requirements.).
we both independently meet the financial requirements, so we are planning to fill two different application without co signers.
i am not very clear about the answer to below question, could you guys please correct me if i am answering wrong here.

  • the number of people in your immediate family (you, your spouse or partner and dependent children) - 2 [me + my wife]
  • the total number of people you already sponsored and are still financially responsible for - 0
  • the total number of people you want to sponsor, including their dependants (spouse or partner, and children) - 2

My sister is planing to sponsor our parents and my brother in law will be the co-signer. Their combined income is more than enough to sponsor 6 people.

If my brother inlaw is the co-signer, can he sponsor his parents as well in a different application indicating my sister as cosigner in his application? Or does he have to wait until next year?
He can certainly sponsor his parents as well either this year or next year. Their combined income needs to be enough to cover everyone - meaning the two of them and any children + her parents and brother + his parents and any dependents. So they need enough LICO for at least 8 people (maybe more) based on the info in your post.

Cosigners still make sense if either spouse made less during the period before the people being sponsored got their PR status.

Expired PR card. They should be able to verify it.
