Yes, only US citizens, US green card holders and Canadian citizens get precheck. Canadian PR holders with any passport other than US wont get precheck.
It does count. Every 2 days is counted as 1 day upto a maximum of 1 year in total. You can use 2 years of super visa stay and that adds to 1 year towards physical presence requirement.
No worries at all. No need of amendment business. you can hold i94 on one passport and your petition on another country passport. Ppl with multiple citizenships do it. The details you submit in the petition are for identification purposes only...its not tied to a passport number, but an A# that...
Scenario 1: You can enter with Canadian passport and I-797 without any visa. I wud say this wud be ur best bet. Forget about consulate and the passport ur employer used for H1B petition. Carry ur Indian passport just in case for entry. But that should not be a problem had u changed ur passport...
Its the same rule. Just show your I-797. I would recommend NOT to produce Indian passport as that would create confusion to the officer. As a Canadian passport holder, you do not need a visa to enter the USA. CBP will issue a new i94 based on your 797 and Canadian Passport. If you produce Indian...
Not all border posts have the ability to update your TTP documents. They may redirect you to the enrollment center. The best method would be to call the nearest NEXUS enrollment center and see what they have to offer. Some centers (assuming that is the same center where you had the initial...
I was in the same situation as you. Nothing changes w.r.to ur US H1B. When you obtain your Canadian passport, show it at the border and request for new i94 showing the 797 for H1B. They will migrate all your data and you can continue the routine. Dont worry too much!
Cool. I too received my card sometime this week. Thanks to USPS for not sending informed delivery mails this week. I decided to randomly check my mailbox anyway today and saw Nexus card along with bunch of other mails.
Glad to hear!
I did and now waiting for the card to arrive. I dont need the physical card anyway. All it matters for me is the precheck which can be obtained by entering the pass id during booking/checkin.
Looks like your fingerprints were done in Aug 2021. If you delay the oath, your fingerprints could expire leading to another FP request and more delays....possibly months. If there is any chance, get it done!!
Did they tell you that a new card will arrive? In my case, cbp officer asked to declare damaged card and pay 25 USD to get a new card, which I did and waiting for the new card to arrive.
"View membership information".
Mine now states - 1 document to prove canadian citizen and nothing under permanent residency even though the line states "You have entered 1 document to prove permanent residency".
So finally, all details in my profile are clean. It happened exactly after 2 weeks like explained by the CBP officer. Hopefully that also means its updated in the Canadian side.
Glad to hear. I finally received an email from Detroit Nexus that my passport has been updated. However, when I login, I still see my citizenship still shows India, but with Canadian passport details. Something doesn't add up here.
Are you able to confirm the updated information. I called the Detroit enrollment center and they asked me to reply their email with the copies of passport. Not sure if they will update or ask to come in.
