I think you should go the embassy yourself.. I read from discussions in forum that some people did that.
Take everything with u, your passport, your papers, the email copy, even print screen for status of cic application...no one know maybe they solve it in same day
Hope the best for you and for us

I will be going to the embassy on Monday, as the information listed in their website. They seem to have very short working hours!

Service Hours

Monday and Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

@ blazin123

We are in one hell of a predicament. Both our Universities will be starting September (for me its August 31), and there isn't any more time left till then.
I pray we get it next week or else it's going to get very very difficult to do anything.

I thaught I was the only person waiting for so long but let's pray and hope to hear a good news from tomorrow onwards

@ Rico5k

You are not alone. There are a lot of people in this one hell of a predicament as stated by ExCalibre97. Its been 8 weeks now since i applied and my class starts on 31 Aug. I need to be in Quebec by 24th for the welcome week and register for my course as well. I'm so scared i can't meet the deadline since i have not received any news after passing my medicals over 2 weeks ago.
Hoping we all get good news in this new week coming.

Any news, people? This week is the make-it or break-it week. For a lot of us, I believe. We can only hope and wait for something to show up.

@ Rico5k

Welcome to the waiting list. If you don't me mind asking, which University have you applied to? :)

I have also applied for the study permit from Canadian embassy' Abu Dhabi via visa application centre on July 02, 2015. This is 7th week going on. I am also expecting a reply from the embassy In this week.

All the best to all who are waiting.

I will like does Abu Dhabi embassy normally medical n police report ? Or have any of done that

@ Rico5k

I am hoping to attend the University of Calgary in Alberta, once I get my study permit. (Already have formal admission.)

As for your second question, I don't think any applicant from Abu Dhabi has been asked to submit a Police Report. The Medical Exam on the other hand, depends on where you've lived in the past year for a duration of 6 months or longer. Usually people living in the UAE for a year or longer don't get asked to do Medicals. However, it's not an issue if you do, it's quite a simple process. I had to do one, because I applied from Qatar. The only con is that it can add to the total time taken for processing.

@ExCalibre97 Hi buddy, saw your post and you happen to be in my current country of location and can help answer some questions about applying for study permit to Canada cos im applying for one soon against winter semester. Did you fill in the application on paper at the visa office or please explain how you got that done and did you submit your passport along with your application and had your biometrics taken at the time of submission? Thank you.
