Hey guys

How long do CIC mails out PR cards? On the CIC website it shows 56 days. I'm planning to go back to my home country in May but I don't know if I land at the border this week, will I'll be able to receive my card before I leave.

Or I can do landing at Vancouver International Airport when I come back from my trip.

Please advise

The officer at CBSA told me that it will take 60-90 days to receive PR card. if you are leaving Canada in May, you can apply PRTD after you landed at the border. It takes less than 30 days to receive PRTD. You can also choose to land at Vancouver airport when you come back to Canada. Personally i will choose the 1st option because by the time i come back to Canada in May or June, I will probably have the PR card in the mailbox.

officer told me about 60 to 90 days..are you the only applicant? I would suggest you do landing when you come back, just make sure it's before the CoPR expire date..

Yes I'm single and I got COPR till Nov 2018.

two friends went for landing with me last week, husband is the primary applicant, wife is going back to China at the end of April for only three weeks. So the officer recommended the husband to land first and the wife could do landing afterwards at YVR..it's also uncertain about how long it takes to get PRTD in your country so the safest move for you is wait until you get back and do landing at the airport. if you are just connecting at YVR, also make sure there is enough time in between to catch the next flight. good luck!

I got the email in my personnel email id about send the passport to Ottawa
On ECAS - it shows decision made
But mycic- still processing BG
