Thought I'd share my time thus far since only a few people who sent passports to IRCC in March have posted. Will update when things changed. But it sounds like it is only a 2 week process:

PPR email: 02 Mar 2018
Passports sent: 05 Mar 2018
Passports received: TBD

Congratulations to all who are PR now! and best of luck who are going to be PR soon!!
I landed on Mar 3 (last Saturday), waiting for PR card now. I am inland applicant.
- My driving license will expire on 23 April, do I need PR card to renew it? Same with my health card, I need to renew it too.
- Do we need to update SIN too?

where you from?

Croatia. I'm from a visa - exempt country, so I need to send a photocopy of the passport's biodata page. I'm hoping it will make things a bit faster for me.

I live in BC, so I can tell you what's the rule of thumb for my province (as far as driver's license and healthcare are concerned)...

SIN - that's your first concern. You'll get a permanent one and it will no longer start with a 9, but with the number for your province.

I need to renew everything. Check the dates on your documents. Mine are all in the same validity as was my work permit. Now that I have PR, I will get my SIN number as soon as I get my COPR. I need my PR card to renew my driver's license (that's what they told me in ICBC British Columbia anyway). For the health card - I need to send them my basic info and my healthcare number along with my COPR. They will issue me permanent documents then.

I also got my passport back... we tried to drive toNorth Portal from Regina, but weather conddiitons for driving were not safe, so we came back... may be tomorrow or Friday... we will see...

I'm planning to drive to North Portal this weekend. Weather conditions should be fine since we are over the harsh snow fall today.

Hey guys

How long do CIC mails out PR cards? On the CIC website it shows 56 days. I'm planning to go back to my home country in May but I don't know if I land at the border this week, will I'll be able to receive my card before I leave.

Or I can do landing at Vancouver International Airport when I come back from my trip.

Please advise

Hi, they only ask me if there where any other dependants beside the ones included on the application, if I have ever been convicted, visa reject from Canada or asked to leave the country.. The only documents requested were passports, CoPR and the refusal note for US Border. He got the papers and half hour later he congrats on become PR... Explain all docs he gave us and next steps to do...
