Hello Everyone,

I am Permanent Resident in Canada. I applied TRV for my parents when I was on PGWP in 2016 but got refused. The reasons were, no travel history and no ties in canada and in country of residence. However, my parents had a USA visa rejected before we applied for CA visa and we missed to identify that in the form first time when we applied for CA visa.

Now, I am PR for a year. I want to reapply for my parents visa. Can you guys help me in preparing a case?

What should my parents do to apologize of their mistake? Should they write an apology letter to CIC?
Is it okay to apply in January if they wanna come in june?

Thanks and your recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Just to clarify:
The refusal reasons were not for being untruthful and/or a ban for misrepresentation, right?

1. What is the purpose of their visit apart from wanting to meet you + tourism? For how long?

2. Have they traveled to other visa-required countries (UK, Schengen, Australia, NZ, etc)?

3. Do post the list of documents for each parent

4. What ties can they demonstrate to their country of residence: Employment/business + property/land ownership or a lease + dependent family members + financial situation + any compelling reason to return home after their visit?

5. What is their immigration status in the country of residence or is it their home country?

They can include a short explanation that provides the details of their US B1/B2 refusal + it was an unintentional mistake because they had misunderstood the question in the TRV application.

That said, they must again declare the US B1/B2 refusal + the TRV refusal in the TRV application form (Question 2 of the Background Information section).

Any reason for this?

No, the VO didnt mention anything about misrepresentation or untruthful. I applied for GCMS notes, in that the VO in one of his/her statement says, "will not A40". SO i believe he/she will not put them in misrepresentation category ?

They are coming for 2 weeks from june 1 to june 15. coming to celebrate religious festival with me and my wife.

No, they do not have any travel history.

My father will attach his affidavit explanation letter, salary slip, 6 months bank statement, income tax slip, 1 apartment property document. funds certificate. My father has 3 years left of retirement and hi is in a very senior position with many obligations. He must return back.

it is their home country.

The reason they are applying in jan for jun is they have a plan to buy a few things in Feb that may affect their statement. How much should we show in bank statement?

Do we have to write an apology letter? or should we write any other comment in the form after declaring.

What are the chances that they will get their visa.

What should I attach? my bank statement how much? my salary?

Thank you for your guidance.
