Hello,

I am a Canadian Citizen. I would like for my parents to visit me from India. They would be staying a maximum of 2 months and not really longer than that. So in this case is it still better to opt for super visa or go with the regular visitor visa?
Does super visa really has a better acceptance rate than visitor visa?
On an average, how much does it cost per person for the super visa insurance which is needed during application submission?

If your parents are going to visit you every year or for a long time get a super visa. The Super Visa Insurance can be paid in installments and doesn't get activated unless your parents land in Canada. 200$ for two per for super visa insurance.

The Visitor Visa doesn't have insurance requirement but you cannot control the visa duration granted to you e.g. when i 1st visited in 2014, i was given a single entry visa valid only for one year. Next when i visited in 2015 i was given a multi entry visa till the expiry of my passport.

They wont be really visiting every year, may be just once or twice and and that too for a duration of month or two
Debating between super visa insurance fee vs high visitor visa denial stories
Both my parents get pension, have properties in their name and actively involved in community activities in India
