How much time they have given for the medical to be completed?

As I can see from the last update on February 26 - processing times for Parents and Grandparents has been increased up to 45 months... and it was down to 42 months in January... and it's just the 1st stage - in CPC-M. Way to go Mississauga!

They process it in Ottawa.

But my question was if it is possible to get an extension beyond the 60 days that they gave our parents to have the examination done.

you have to have a valid strong reason why your parents cannot have the medical exam done within the specified period of time, then get the proof and send it to Ottawa. they might give you an extension.

Look for the location of the file and for any incoming and outgoing correspondence to see if everything is in order as far as communication between you and cic is concerned. See if they have all your PPs and PCCs on the file in order. One other thing you can look for is Notes section. They will use that section to comment on the file.

Thanks itslaeq for the response.

Under paper file it says location: Registry. Any idea what is this for?

Field Operations Support System (FOSS)
Description: The FOSS database is a central repository of information on all persons who have been, may be or are wanted to be seen by Immigration staff. FOSS is the main operational support system for immigration operations in Canada. The system is comprised of numerous components including query functions, status entry, document creation, refugee monitoring, case processing support, medical profiles, registry functions, client name and address, statistical functions, airport primary inspection line functions, access and security, appeals and litigation, quality assurance and records maintenance. FOSS also provides query capabilities for lost, stolen and fraudulent documents. All Immigration staff that work with the public and the staff that support these officers use FOSS. It is also used at all international airports by customs inspectors and by a number of specialized groups, such as: Case Management, Query Response Centre, Social Insurance Registry, Immigration Health, Immigration Statistics, External Affairs Protocol, Canadian consulates in various locations in the United States. There are 21.2 million client records and over 37.7 million document reference records.

2. (LONDON) on 06 Jun 2001 Applicant has failed to declare this on the application Sponsor's details:======= Landed FC1 on DD-MM- 2006 Canadian citizen on DD-MM-2011

Any history abt London?

Thanks user828 for response. Just to clarify that in my past post it I mentioned about 2 concerns but after reviewing again i noticed that its actually same sentence rather going on to next page so it should be read as:

"PAPERSCREENING NOTES – Sponsorship : MET Persons sponsored: Both parents and two siblings Settlement arrangements required for : - 9 Settlement arrangements MET for :- 10 FOSS done Applicant was refused ND2 (LONDON) on 06 Jun 2001 Applicant has failed to declare this on the application"

I talked to my father and he mentioned that his visa was refused for London. Do you think it will have any impact on the outcome? Please note that same notes section establishes all the relationship between principal applicant to dependents and says "Recommend that application be approved".

Thanks.

Also, last update on Notes section was on Aug. 2013 and comments are "File placed in WVR group". Do you happen to know what is this for?

It is not safe to go to Kiev, Ukraine to have the examination done. The place is loaded with criminals doing whatever. Until the situation improves, I would not want them go there.
