Hi, helping Canadian
My medical expired on 19 june 2013. I did not get re-medical request so far. It is really disappointing. My timeline is april 2008. I do not know why they are sitting on the files of 2007 and 2008.

wt is age of ur depentents? or course details. pls explain.

Sorry i did not respond earlier. Both Type A dependents (under the age of 22 and single) and that's probably one reason why their timelines were relatively quick.

Yes, dont worry about it. what about other dependant, was s/he under 22 too when applied?
Your timeline is very fast. ours is June 2009 but no medical as yet.

other dependent was of 14 years when applied. yes case was processing fast until medicals but afterwards no progress. looks like we have to go for second medical as 1st is expiring in March.

Things what I have found for parents file. Not sure it is right or wrong.
For First 4 points I have strong feelings.

Parents file for 2007 & 2008 I believe they have different procedures to execute those files. They are following different procedure from 2009 files.

Age of Dependent if any When you put up file. Age of Below 20 yrs dependent is given preference.

At local visa office level, if you came to Canada via Marriage files and then you put up files for parents are proceed faster. Submit PCC & Passport together. If your parents are government officer and live in Delhi area takes longer time for security and back ground check.

If they suspect anything serious in Medical takes way longer time. Do medical at doctor office who has idea how the entire medical process is.

Parents files with NO Dependents goes to Ottawa. which is faster compare to LVO.

Where the parents will live once in Canada. files from Toronto area takes longer times compare to rural places.

Don't Do MP Inquiry till Medical is near expiry. before 2 monts of expiry is ok.

If you gave Email address as a preferred way of communication, process go little fast but make sure you check that given email regularly even in SPAM.

Make sure you submit requested documents in timely manner. If they give you sixty days limit, don't submit on 50th day.

Make sure your income to show cic is little higher than what they ask for.

Once again all this is my thoughts... don't count as advise.

God Bless everyone.

hello u r not active in this forum may I know u have dependent in ur file we have similar time lines medical expired on oct 2013 still waiting. One thing more itseleaq when ur file was trfered to new delhi in 2010 at that time also there was this type of delay of all files mostly 2007 people arw waiting days are passing.months are passing .can u give an idea hoq much long this will run..

My file was being processed normally until it was refused in Mar 2012. Else I would have got visa 2 years ago. I think, at that time, it was a case that most 2009/2010/2011 applications were still at CPC-M stage and there was less workload for local visa offices so they were processing 2007/2008 faster. Now they have to process 2007/2008 applications and also all the ones for later years that have been transferred from CPC-M to local visa offices. More work load and hence the delay. To be honest, it depends on which stage our files are at the moment as CIC seems to be doing some serious work these days (including working saturdays). Hoping for the best seems to be the only option for us at this moment.

hello everybody,
i am starting to apply for my parents-in-law PR.

question 1: The form IM 1344 (application to sponsor) is not downloading. it just says to "Please wait.......download adobe" i downloaded the latest version and still doesnt show anything. how do i get that form? Also, other forms are pretty much visible and fillable from the adobe reader i have.

question 2: So if i'm sending all the documents in the checklist to mississauga, do i need to attach PCC for my in-laws? or if they would ask for it later?
PCC from india takes long time - i was wondering if i could fill all the forms, get them filled and signed by my in-laws from india and get it back and then send them. they dont ask for PCC and medicals in the checklist. wouldnt that be something to sent later on?

Question 3: me and my wife have been living together since Jan 2012. if i'm the co-signer, can i include my income for 2010,2011? or does it has to be for the years the wife and husband are together?
eligibility to sponsor is very stringent this time. it might sound that 5000 will fill up quickly but i dont think so. well pay stubs instead of NOA should work. but usually CIC looks at each case individually and a lot will depend on the authenticity of the employer issuing pay stubs as well.

I am wondering if cpc-miss will finish old application first (apps before 2011) or the new 5000 apps first? Any ideas!
Thanks

Old apps first, it says on the FAQ s well - these new apps won't get any special treatment, they simply have stringent rules
