The acknowledgement letter was received in February 2010.
Since then we haven't heard anything. When should we be expecting the request for additional documents? Should we call to ask or wait? What are these additional documents?

CIC is currently working on applications received in Nov 2009. Use the following website to track when your papers would be processed. I would rather wait and not call till your application date is beyond the processing time mentioned below.

Once the sponsorship portion is approved, documents that are specific to visa offices need to be submitted. These include additional family information etc. You would get a list of all these documents.

Eligibility: not started Due date:- 8/2012
Security: not started , due date:- 7/2013
HIRV:
Criminality: not started, due date:-07/2013
Medical : passed (Medical received status from Feb ,On Ecase still app Recived)

However GCMS were Generated before 1 Month and I received it Last week so don't Know whats My file status Now..
From My Due dates Can U pls tell me with consideration of strike My chance of getting visa in which Month???

then there is this sentence:

.Please note, this does not guarantee that a visa will be issued.


Submit your passport(s), photos and information chart within 30 days of the date of this email. Failure to provide the requested documents within the given timeframe could result in the refusal of your application. All documents for you and your accompanying family members must be submitted together in one package. Follow the instructions below to submit your package.
then the rest is how to send them and nothing is very important , do they mention the same thing that please note this doesnt guarantee visa ?

i got another copy of the gcms notes. this one has the complete information including the day the mailed the passport etc.

Hi,

I just found Decision has been made for my parents this week and I found on the e-Case status. Now I have a query to you guys, hope you will reply asap:

1) Is this Decision is positive or negative?
2) How long it takes to receive the decision post mail?
3) My parents didn't ask to send their Passport yet, but I have seen from this forum people are asking to send their Passport before the 'Decision has been made'.

FYI, here is the Time-Line of my parents status:

It was updated on April,3, 2013 n also says criminal history-0....don't understand if it means its completed.....however security not started. My mom was here in 2011 for 5 months, other than that no travel history for them.....

My brother did his medical and found out that he has a trace of syphilis will his application be rejected the doctor said he need three treatments once per week for three weeks

it should not since its treatable. i suggest he undergoes treatment asap, i think they use azithromycin here in canada not sure what antibiotics are used to cover that in India. With syphilis you can only prevent future damage and cannot fix the damage that has already been done. also treat all of his sexual partner(s) and abstain from sex till he is syphilis negative.
