Parents and Grandparents (PR Numbers for 2012 and 2013)

4,084 7,615 21,815
2013
9,528

NA
NA NA 9,528

Number of people who were granted Permanent Residents in Canada during 2012 steadily increased every quarter and the trend has so far continued in 2013 as well. 21,815 people were granted PR status in 2012 (I think this is the number of people who actually landed in Canada after receiving PR Visas).

However, during Q1-2013, number of people who were granted PR Status (landed as PR) is 9,528, which is

1. 31.76% of high end of the target range of 25000-30,000 visas per year under this category and
2. 43.68% of total number of people granted PR status during 2012

I think this number will go down during remaining quarters of 2013 and will average between 6,500-7,500 per quarter during remaining 3 quarters of 2013.

CIC has probably slowed down the process of issuing PR Visas to limit the number of people who are granted Permanent Resident Status in Canada (landed as PR) during the remaining period of 2013. Once the number of people who were granted PR status during Q2-2013 is available, it will become clearer to understand the future trend. It will be good to see if CIC maintains a higher number.

They might ask details on your brother, most who were above 22 at time of app were asked more details + there is strike now so sit tight, you are looking at a good delay here

Order GCMS notes, ( see my signature ) and that will tell you file process - but form my experience, you won't find anything unusual - your file is in queue thats all, nothing wrong with it

but can i ask on my sister behalf as she is a sponsor for my family?

Hi to All,

Good news to share. Today we have received a PPR through e-mail. This is for my Deekay09-02 file. Rajaji Please update the timelines. As per the CIC, this is a copy of the earlier mail sent to us on June 16, which we never received.

CIC has asked us to submit the passports through VFS. I hope to receive the COPR along with passports as per the timelines (20 working days) stated in the letter. Good Luck to everyone who are still in the queue. I would like to express my gratitude towards all of you who helped me throughout this waiting game. Thanks.

Cabinet Shuffle ::
New Minister of Citizenship and Immigration Chris Alexander
formerly held by Jason Kenney.

Toronto-area MP Chris Alexander got one of the big promotions of the day as he was named new minister of citizenship and immigration.
He replaces Jason Kenney, Harper’s long-time minister of citizenship and immigration who is credited with the Conservative success among new Canadians.
Kenney gets a newly named portfolio, employment and social development, which takes the place of human resources and skills development.

Hi user828

Need your help here.

If a visitor come to Canada they can get insurance from RBC and AMA.The thing I just came to know is they will not cover for existing conditions like diabetes of Kidney disease.
I came to know that we should get insurance from Home country .

Is that true. What do visitors do when they know they have to see a doctor twice a year? What is your experience?
Does any insurance company covers from inside Canada?

Thanks
