Finally Some changes on e-cas. "In process"
We started processing your application on May XX, 2013.
"Medical results have been received"

What does it mean? Is there any way to know if the medical pass or fail ?
Does anybody know how long Singapore will take to request for passport ?

Hi Luck786,
Thanks for your reply. Yes my application is in Ottawa. My in-laws are in India. Their PCC expired in the first week of May. No request received to update the PCC either. That is why I have growing concerns regarding the decision.

I don't know what is the procedure going forward. Should I contact my MP to know what is going on?

Its normal, now they will ask inlaws to submit pp to Delhi via VFS or direct. I suggest VFS

Hi to Everyone,

This is about my second application for family sponsorship. Today E-cas shows "processing started on June 18" , Decision has been made. The office will contact you concerning the decision. I have same timelines like RJAG. Ditto.

I do not understand, without any request for passport submission, how the e-cas is showing decision made? No address change either. It is something unusual to me. Is there anything to panic?

Anybody with same experience please respond.

That means your case is approved. You will get PPR request in about 2 weeks. Get ready.

Does anyone know what is the next step? How long will it take to get the passport request? Any idea on how they send a passport request?
Please see my timeline below.
Original Application - August 2009
Submitted information (forms): June 2012
Office - Ottawa Pilot
Sponsorship Approved: November 2012
Medical request and sent - Feb 8 2013
Medical results have been received - May 13 2013
Started processing XXXXXXXXX's application on June 18, 2013

Good & Bad news.

Good: They have started working on your file. Reviewing your file.

Bad: If in 1-2 days you do not see Decision made, that means something is missing or officer waiting for some background clearance, medical reports etc. This could take long time.

Thanks apple_talk for your response. Should I be worried? My ECAS only updated today with June 18th as the processing date. However, that means its been 6 days (3 working days), since June 18th. Your response would be appreciated. Thank you once again.

Thanks User828 & Apple_Talk.

You have relieved some pressure out of me. I hope both of you have read my two recent posts regarding decison made status and concerns. Both of you guys have quoted different posts that provides the comprehensive situation in my case.

I think based on your replies there is noting to panic, isn't it? Thanks.

Hey fab.. Dont worry about it, thats not a problem. They just conduct some additional test in some case's.. But thats not an issue. So just relax and Best of luck for the medicals..! :)

hi User828 you are not alone buddy, our file is in que since august 2007 but my father's file delayed due to travel; he visited canada & lives here for total of 2 years & visited US twice (for 2 weeks) as well, do u think they send enquiry to US for background check. I have made so many MP enquiries & emailed to ND but to no avail every time I received their usual reply that they are doing background checks, done re-medial & PCC already!!! I have ordered GCMS notes hoping to received shortly!

My status changed to In Process 10 days ago and still I dont have the " Decision Made". I did not get any new request for PCC. May be they have background checks since the dependent on the application is in the US.

How long do these background checks take?

I ordered gcms notes today.

They sure do, I even gave FBI clearance. I would imagine a person with travel history ( which has helped in acquiring visas for different countries w/o issues ) should show good standing, instead its become an issues when it comes to these background checks

Thanks Luck786 and hira.n
