If your case processing office is Ottawa, why do they ask you to send passports to New Delhi?

Its a pilot project where Ottawa is helping ND and other places to process files but the parents are in India so the PP has to be sent locally, cant mail to CPP-O unless they are in Canada visiting and that way, could have mailed internally

Those who got CPP-O are the chosen lucky ones with least hassle, and I would suggest future ones to plan in such a way that they get CPP-O

We all know how a local visa office like ND works, they test your patience and hurt you like a knife strike to the body

you best bet is next year of 2014. we are in a waiting line too - applied in may 2010.

And I also hope that the 5000 new applications that they will receive in 2014 will be processed only after all of the current backlog is cleared. Remember the ministerial instructions that changed the processing order of applications for the federal skilled worker program?

No news yet. The timelines is 47 months so I made hoping they will start the new batch in Oct ofthis year.

As everyone is sharing his or her timeline and processing, I want to share mine too after getting letter in Feb regarding my sibling in which according to CHC ND he's not dependent, and my parents responded with explaination within stipulated 30 days. I didn't heard anything from them as case was filed in may 2008. I think as they gave only 30 days limit , CHC ND should also respond or take an action after those thirty days. It's really hard to understand why they provide time limit to us not themselves.

Well, they came up with new criteria for the fsw program in 2008 and also in 2010, and in both cases applications received under the new criteria were given priority over the applications that were in the backlog from the previous years, and those new applications were processed faster. I doubt that this will be the case for the parent sponsorships.

The older apps will be done in the same fashion as we are experiencing, the newer ones will start when they accept 5K with the new criteria ( the pace has to match their early intake for PGP ) so doesn't matter if they are doing it faster or slower, 5K wil be done in no time to approve, will they fit in the yearly quota is to be seen

But I think the 2010, even 2011 will coincide with these newer apps

i know many of my friends applied in 2009 there parents already arrived 2009 case are going thru ottawa ,i hate cic system thats unfair with 2008 files
