Now you know it doesn't matter with those generic responses from VO and the fact that GCMS said nothing has started

They sometimes keep passports for more than 9 months before they send visa.

Thanks guys. For those waiting I highly suggest ordering GCMS notes and/or MP inquiries. Might be coincidental but I feel it brings the file to their attention.

True true. yours have been a utter nightmare. hope no one has to go through it and you too get the the passports with visa back in the next few weeks.

I am not sure if I did this right but considering I had my father's FBI report, I always felt like sending it even though he never lived there for more than 6 months but he had so many trips I suspected they might ask. They did ask but then that delayed my whole situation unnecessarily

I for one was always wanting to send paperwork they never asked, but seeing forum comments everywhere that we shouldn't send docs which are not required. I somehow felt that there's no harm doing so but again not sure if whatever happened was the way to be

Lot of other things mattered as well, but I just hope they don't ask anything more - just tired of it

dear raja, was your father in army? could it be the reason why our case is taking this much long? our medical gonna be expire in 4 days i heard that background check may take 9-21 month long specially for someone who was in army?!i hope you get your visa asap
