I called call centre today and spoke to an agent.
Agent said that file was in the process of transfer to Ottawa, but still no decision on the sponsorship itself.

Has anyone else whose file still at CPC-M heard the same from an agent? Not sure if agent would divulge such info or whether its true.
Even if they transfer files, would it be assumed that file has been "pre-screened" by CPC-M for CPP-O ?

I know many spousal cases are being decided by CPP-O as well, but is it the same logic for parental cases?

Any people here that received their sponsorship approval from CPP-O instead of CPC-M ??

Does FOSS show this info at all, or only GCMS shows this

BTW we're at 44 months already in terms of processing time for stage 1.

Anyone else share the same experience or info currently?

Hi Canvis,

I am in the same situation as you. AOR for file complete was sent on July 6,2012. But up to now, nothing, nada, zilch!!!!

I am past the 44 months even worst I am in the 53 months mark so you should consider yourself lucky. I also have dependents.

Last time, I called the centre and they had told me to start inquire every day if nothing is done by January 11,2013. (How lame is that!!!)

@ AtulW: Nothing yet. thanks for providing the update though. I am thinking of sending my brother to ND office to see if they can help us by visiting there? what do you think?

No harm trying, I am almost 100% sure that they will not entertain someone coming to consulate for followup

Hi folks,

I sponsored my parents in Nov. 2009 and I got additional documents request in March, 2012. I submitted those documents in June 2012 end and got application complete letter from CPC-M in July 12 2012.

Since then there has been no communication from those folks but now I have seen my e-cas has 2 lines (previously there used to be just one line)

Sponsored Person Sponsorship Application Status Permanent Residence Application Status

NAME Application Received Not Available
NAME Application Received Application Received

Please note that clicking on the link Application Received shows no additional information other than the date the application was received. Any ideas what this could mean? Please advise..

It means they are working on your file and would soon inform you of the decision (on the sponsorship part of the application). After a week or two you would see your line changed to "Decision Made".

Edit: You would then receive a letter stating where your file would be transferred - either at CPP-O or Local Visa office.

I am in similar situation. I applied for my parents in Sept 2009, and received notice that my additional requested information was received in early July 2012.
Only yesterday did I see my status change, and was told by Immigration Canada that my parents file is being transferred to LVO country (4 months wait :( )
I'm not sure why it is taking longer to transfer files now compared to earlier in the year where people were getting files transferred in 1-3 months.
Immigration Canada wasn't sure.

Thanks Sakamath! So just that I am sure they will first I will get a letter or email that the application has been transferred to Ottawa or an LVO and a few weeks after that e-cas status will change to decision made?
