Hi Andrei_T: Yes, my response was to "In the letter accompanying the PP, I read that codes 2.02 and 2.04 imply an extra monitoring sheet of paper to be sent by the embassy." There is a Section 11 could be found on internet but the code should be S1.x or S2.x If it is 1.x - "no surveillance is neccessary." But S2.x means "surveillance is necessary." Perhaps, the code was 1.1? I guess, one needs to have a closer look at the letter recieved. My understanding, however, there would be no letter in the case there is 1.x code. Have you received any letters with your visa?
Thanks Sana7,
The code is 11 not S1.1 so I have no idea what it means but maybe was a misspelled because code should have same format.

Thanks Andrei, Mushkum and Sponorparens... Yes, long wait is over! We all needed much patience with it:-)

Hi sana and Andrei_T

Sorry for not being clear: so my mom's code is 11. Not 1.1.
Without any other explanation.

I thought that maybe the accompanying letter (spread over 2 pages) would provide me more info: but the unique info available was in regard with codes 2.02 and 2.04. Nothing about code 11.

If you (and others) don't mind: Which value is this Code on your COPR?

Meanwhile, I did the other stuff for my mom, in her new status as a Canadian PR :): she requested a SIN and- most important- we visited the RAMQ (Regie d'assurance maladie du Quebec) where she applied for public health insurance.

The good news here are that - while expecting it to start in 3 months- it will start a bit earlier: not February 19th, but February 1st.
I'm not sure why; maybe they want it to start at first of the month????
Not sure also about other provinces.

No other special and extra docs were requested and no other indications were given, so I presume code 11 is kind of usual (and maybe related to that note on her file: Has a medical condition.....)

Hi everyone, I was in shock today when I received the brown envelope from London LVO requesting my police checks and for me to arrange my medical! I thought I wouldn't hear anything till next year sometime.

My application date was 29/4/2008 and my file was transferred to London on 16/5/2008. On the London website it was quoting 38 months for the stage 2 of the parents/grandparents visa completion so I am just so pleased things are speeding up. I will now have to get in gear again and get things arranged as I have 60 days to get the medicals and police checks sent to them.

I hope you all get good news soon too as the waiting really gets you down. I am now going to contact my daughter in Canada and tell her the good news.

Congratulations on your good news and progress. When I last replied to you we were waiting for our COPR from London and that has now arrived so we are all set. Hope the medical goes well . Do you know the procedure for police checks.

Hi Kerria,
Yesterday my mother scan COPR and I realizes she also has also code 11 so I sent an e-mail to Nat-Med-Surveillance @ cic.gc.ca ()
The good news is they just answer my question so here is the answer regarding code 11:

Dear Sir,

Thank you for providing the additional information.
I have verified the information in your mother's file and I can confirm that she does not have a medical condition requiring medical surveillance, therefore no Immigration Medical Surveillance Undertaking form (IMM535B) will be issued to her.

For you information, code 11 is the medical code for Pulmonary Tuberculosis – Inactive.
I hope this will answer your question and clear up any confusion.

I wish you mother a safe trip.

Finally!!!!! My parents file is moving ahead

The ecas now shows Canada address but still says "in-process"
Here is what I see:
Your current home address " Burlington, Ontario, Canada"
Your current mailing address XXXXXXX, XXXXX, XXXXXXX, India

I guess we should get the passports with Visa back soon.

Hopefully my in-laws file too would be getting final decision soon .

That's a good sign Atul.
