we just got our email today from OttPilot requesting for our parents passport to be sent to Beijin. Does anyone know how long they will hold the passport? Our problem is that they have already bought a flight ticket to come to Canada for the 22nd of Oct. Does anyone have any suggestions of what we can do do?

My parents medicals are expiring on 22nd November 2012. They have not yet received Passport request. GCMS file notes says Criminality not yet started.

my grandmother however is flying to Canada in October. her file had same time lines and her medicals were to expire on 2nd november. her passport request came in Feb 2012.

why both cases are not taken care fo at same time.


I am interested to know what your parents timeline is as you have only posted your timeline. I am assuming it was a 2009 application,is that right? There are many who are still waiting from applications filed in 2007 and 2008 so if your parents have got as far as medicals earlier this year you have been very lucky as you will have waited a shorter time than many more. There is a lot of frustration that some applications seem to be processed more quickly . Be thankful that you have got this far so quickly and spare a thought for those who are not. Nevertheless I wish you luck.

I thought you said in your last post that you received an aor from new delhi no?
I would definately recommend you to see your mp...you just have to call at their office in your city..make an appointment and ask them to check on your behalf sometimes MP is not available so his/her assistant will help you.

You just need to pay for your Mom as your sister and brother are still dependents regardless of studying or not.You are right age was locked at the tim of application.




Guys after how long it usually takes to request for further medical exam after medical? If Ottawa needs more tests then what should be expected,4 ,6,8 or10 weeks?

Bcoz they r so rumars that CIC-ND working only Parents applications (with no dependents).......

So far rumor seems true .So far all the cases who got MR or visas are only parent case with no dependents.

What? i remember we talked about it while back...you should do something about it contact your MP or order CAIPS. You sent your documents in feb and its october already. 8 months!! Thanks a lot for wishing

Oh yes! I still haven't received anything from them about my Sponsorship approval or anything. I went to my MP in June, but they received the same response as I always do... "the file is still in process in Mississauga" I am not sure what makes my case special though!
True, I have my parents and two of my siblings, which makes them 4. Regardless, I don't belive that they took 8 months to respond, and God only knows when they would be responding anyways. I sometimes feel so helpless, but what can you do, right?
By the way, do you think ordering CAIPS would make any difference in my case?

To collect them .. We got passports back in a week what abt u Panjab any news so far

Our passports came back in 3 days but they said there was an issue. Can you tell me something, did your parents passport have pics with White background or colored? My parents were told passports were invalid and need new passports

was your income for the respective years just met LICO. I have heard that if LICO is barely met then CIC gives hard time.

Depends on LVO and your case .. I would guess plan with 6 - 9 months in mind from the date of your medical

Hi Panjab - Do your parents passports have pics with colored background.

Yes and they told my dad they will not issue visa on that passport. And the Indian passport authority will not issue passport because the expiry date is in the future so they say you cannot get one, because your exiting one is still valid. So if anybody has passport with pictures with colored background beware. Not sure if it is the officer handling my case or is this a new guideline. Could not find anything to that effect anywhere on the CIC website
