Check this sheet I think they have received only 1,069 applications under PGP. This may good for older application as next year they will be having more time for our applications

32,000 target for 2012 - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/ips/non-economic.asp
11,000 for CPP-O and 21,000 for LVO's worldwide. 21,000 also includes persons whose files were already in LVO's before November, 2011 and are getting visas in 2012

does it mean that they will not start on new applications this year again?

My folks have passports issued in 1996 with colored backgrounds, recently got 5 year multiple on it...never heard of this colored background stuff

Oh, my income was all fine, actually! Unless, the number of dependents attracted their eyes! :(
I have been maintaining well on the Income as I work for the same company for the last 8 years. But, I am not sure about their reason that they may have.

Oh Lucy i can understand your emotions :(
like you said one cant do much about it...just hope for the best results. I dont know why but i m thinking they have put your file on side and forgot about it. Even MP's are not that much of a help, but still try one more time ask assistant to talk straight to MP and tell him/her everything how people who applied 1-2 yrs after have received medical req and visas...they might be able to do something. Order CAIPS i think it will give you some idea about your file. good luck.

Sorry for confusion
i just found my original RPRF receipt just to confirm that i was right.
you need to fill yours (SPONSOR'S) information on that receipt your sending them.
name, address, date of birth, client id,postal code and phone number. send them one and keep one for your record

are you sure that it soud be sponsor's not a sponsored parent name mentioned? could you please clarify.

was your income for the respective years just met LICO. I have heard that if LICO is barely met then CIC gives hard time.

can you please give more info about it. how strict they are with meeting the LICO?

I believe my bad luck the officer I got is playing hard ball. Well what do you suck it up and move along.

You need to complete with Sponsor's info. Reason: If CIC has to adjust/return the fee then it is easier for them to deal with Canadian institutions.

Maybe I did it wrong, but I put there (on the printed proff of RPRF) the sponsored person (my mom), not the sponsor (me).
I was driven into doing so by that 'Client ID number' to be filled; as I do not have such an ID, I presumed it was my mother's. So I put her Client ID and also her name & home address.
Now I'm confused and worried.
