we just got our email today from OttPilot requesting for our parents passport to be sent to Beijin. Does anyone know how long they will hold the passport? Our problem is that they have already bought a flight ticket to come to Canada for the 22nd of Oct. Does anyone have any suggestions of what we can do do?

Congrats. I don't know how important the trip is, but I suggest to reschedule and book the tickets with PR visa.

is there an option to bring passport to the consulate in person? sometimes visa stamping is very fast and can be done within one day... depends on the consulate...
can you call the consulate in Beijin and ask them?

Today's Ecas update for my parents application:

We received your application for permanent residence on January 25, 2012.
We started processing your application on May 30, 2012.
Medical results have been received.
A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

LVO called on Thursday for them to pickup PP on Monday..

Still waiting on my wife parents, latest ecas status is medical received.

Both applications are at LVO Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.

Can anyone remind me what their target was for the year? Was it 25K or something?
Hopefully they did all the ground work in the first 6-8 months and now the visas will start coming more frequently!

Thanx kandel for ur reply.....actually as per e-cas status (jan 2012 shows decesion made under sponsership part) its almost 9 mnths since my file is in ND but i havn't recvd anything frm them....my parents got their pcc already n m afraid dat its gona get expire in couple of months....i sent case inquery but no reply...i heard if we enquire through MP then u get reply soon....any thoughts on that frm u, pls update

Hello.This is my first posting on this site and i hope users on this site will guide and advise me in getting through my situation.I have applied for my mother in h&c class within canada.We get preapproval in first month of this year.After that cic have asked for background clearance check,medical and other documents and we submit them.File has now been trasferred to local cic office and they have asked to appear for landing interview with 2 photos and free of $490.What are they going to ask in interview and what are chances of success as my mother is only one left back home as my father expired few years back and brother lives in abroad too.No one is in back home is there to take care of and my brother abroad is not that financially strong to take care of my mother.Please reply to my post .Thanks.

My parents medical as done on April 24,12, online status is "Medical results have been received" form May 2012 . don't know what is going on with CPP-O . why it is taking so long to finalize applications.

11,000 for CPP-O and 21,000 for LVO's worldwide. 21,000 also includes persons whose files were already in LVO's before November, 2011 and are getting visas in 2012

congrats kandel! and goodluck... i remember u told me that some ppl dont get AOR after u submit the document thats was so true... i never got anything in mail.... for 3 months i was so worried then one day i see the email for medical and pcc.... my parents r getting there medical done on 3rd oct 2012.... hope it doesnt take that long now... one thing i dont understand why would they email me from ottawa why not my local lvo which is new delhi i hope they not gonna delay coz of that.... anyway hope u get ur medical soon.... and goodluck to all

now its just a matter of months...check our spreadsheet in the second last column (far right on ur computer) you will see DECISION MADE and PENDING.Compare your timeline with them it will give u rough idea about when to expect visa : ).
they emailed you from ottawa cuz ur file is getting processed at Ottawa nt at new delhi. Ottawa is faster then new delhi you r lucky k good luck with medical.
