FBI only, they might ask state later

P>S How long have they given you, FBI for me took like 8 weeks

dis topic reminds me of the agonizing days when we were waiting for my parents and sister's visa.

It took them 5 yrs from 2004 to 2009 to get their visa. A long but fruitful wait.

May everyone get to be with their loved ones soon :)

Hello Friends........

I got E-mail today about PCC from USA because my parents live in USA in 2008 to 2009.

Here is E-mail...

Dear Applicant:

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order to continue processing your application, the following document(s) must be submitted:

Ø Original Police Certificates must have been issued within the last three months: USA/FBI
o For detailed instructions, please refer to website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/index.asp

There was two type of PCC one from STATE and another is FBI.

So i have to get both PCC ? or only for FBI (As per top of the e-mail they write USA/FBI)

Give me advice please.....its urgent

Thanks

For how long your parents lived in USA - More than 6 months?

If I were you, I'd provide them with both state and FBI PCC's now. Just in case later on they do not ask for State PCC and that would waste time later on.

Anyone received the passport request from Ottawa? Ottawa is so slow. I'm still waiting...

When did your ECAS status change to 'In Process'? I'm wondering how long I must wait for passport request from Ottawa. My ECAS changed to In Process and note says 'We started processing your application on July 6, 2012'

Mine changed to In Process on June 06, 2012. Still waiting after that.

I am still waiting to see my PR application status changed to 'In Process' from 'Application Received' :)

The status changes to Medical received after 1 month if all is good with the medical. The in process happens one month after that so from the date the medical is received it is 2 months in total. and after that I am still waiting, will update once I hear any updates

excuse me friends. Stupid Question. But I don't know what is AOR. Can someone please explain. I might have got one but may be missed it.

what is AOR
Acknowledgement of Receipt - it's just a letter/e-mail confirming that CIC has received the application

On some reason I now have a "view only" option in the spreadsheet and cannot update my timelines. I am not sure why. Anyone?

Mine was changed In Process on 17 May. No updates after.

Anyone who resubmitted the docs to CPC-M after they returned it for correction?
I am curious as to how long it took the 2nd time to check the application and send an AOR letter, etc.
Is there anyone in same boat?

Timeline:
Applied: May 2009
Letter for docs: March 30, 2012
Docs sent/reached CPC-M: 13 May 2012
Package/Docs returned: June 27, 2012 with 30-day deadline to resubmit with correction
Docs re-submitted/reached to CPC-M: July 12, 2012

Anyone else who had to resubmit? If so, how long did it take 2nd time around for a response, if any?
