Did u ordered electronic files only? Or physical as well?
I ordered both this time and there is a piece of weird hand written paper where is says it was sent in March... It's sooooo weird cos it doesn't show anything in correspondence section of electronic files....

Actually, I ordered through capisnotes.com, paid $40

My file is on ND, what should I pick in the Form?

I also received a letter requesting for additional documents and passport dated June 19th from the Canadian embassy in Manila sent here at my address in British Columbia, Canada but no medical request.

Did you get the letter for additional documents and medical request at the same time? Did you use your Canadian address as your Mum's mailing address? I am confused as I thought I should receive the medical request first before the passport request.

Sorry for the late reply. I almost missed your message.The medical request and passport request including addtional docs required were sent at the same time to my mom's address in the Philippines while she's here in Toronto. So, what we did is that we have all the letters scanned and sent to my thru email and printed. She had her medicals here in Toronto last week and the MD will send the results to Canadian Embassy-Manila. We will send her passport and other required docs to Canadian Embassy - Manila on Monday July 16. We informed the Canadian Embassy of my mom's change address which is also my address here, so they can send the correspondence and hopefully send back the passport with the visa here in Toronto.

Hi everyone!

I just picked up my mail. My application GOT APPROVED. I am so happy.
I mailed all the additional docs they requested on June 25th and the approval letter dated July 6th.
Now I am wondering how long it's gonna take to get medical forms.

Does anybody know if my mom could have her medical check up done here in Toronto without flying back home? She is living with me on a visitor visa.

My mom is here for a visit and my LVO send medical request and passport request to my mom's country. My mom just had her medicals here in Toronto last week. There are many designated doctors here in Toronto.

Sorry for the late reply. I almost missed your message.The medical request and passport request including addtional docs required were sent at the same time to my mom's address in the Philippines while she's here in Toronto. So, what we did is that we have all the letters scanned and sent to my thru email and printed. She had her medicals here in Toronto last week and the MD will send the results to Canadian Embassy-Manila. We will send her passport and other required docs to Canadian Embassy - Manila on Monday July 16. We informed the Canadian Embassy of my mom's change address which is also my address here, so they can send the correspondence and hopefully send back the passport with the visa here in Toronto.

I spoke to CIC, they told me that passport has to be sent to home country, for COPR, then you either make appt with officer within Canada or go to US and enter back. Now, the catch is to send the passport to Manila, I know atleast for India, passports are not allowed to cross borders. Canada Embassy, in my opinion, will not mail passport to you in Canada.

The plan is to send the passport back home to a relative, who will send the passport on your behalf to Embassy who will then return it back to your relative, and they will send it to you in Canada

Hi everyone!

I just picked up my mail. My application GOT APPROVED. I am so happy.
I mailed all the additional docs they requested on June 25th and the approval letter dated July 6th.
Now I am wondering how long it's gonna take to get medical forms.

Does anybody know if my mom could have her medical check up done here in Toronto without flying back home? She is living with me on a visitor visa.

I have been watching this forum for awhile and finally decided to contribute.
My permanent residence e-cas status changed to "in process". The file was transferred to LVO (Moscow) at end of February. Sponsorship application date is September 2008
I understand that medical request is the next step. Is that what everyone's experience has been?

In my parent's case, file was transferred to New Delhi in Feburary 2012 and they received letter for PCC in April 2012. In June, their ECAS
changed from application received to In Process. So next stepis towait for Medicals/

this is EDE (excessive demand exempt) spouse sponsorship medical form... the form for parents is different... it is not EDE... it does not say "for spouse and common law partners"... case processing centre is different... it has a bar code... and includes UCI number, application numbers, IME number, application category...

i'm not sure what CIC will do if medical office gets the form that was created by the applicant, not sent to him by CIC... may be it will work fine and nobody will pay attention to it... but may be not...

CIC has three different IMM 1017 forms, depending on whether or not an applicant is excessive demand exempt:
•IMM 1017 – used for non-excessive demand exempt applicants - this is the form for parents medicals.
•IMM 1017 EDE-EFE – used for certain excessive demand exempt applicants. It is similar in appearance to the IMM 1017, but marked with an EDE-EFE stamp to indicate it is an excessive demand exempt case.
•IMM 1017 EFC – used for certain excessive demand exempt family class applicants.

Thanks june_bug. I asked because we had only received the additional documents request which includes the passport request. I sent an email to Manila to verify if they did send the medical request.

There was two type of PCC one from STATE and another is FBI.

So i have to get both PCC ? or only for FBI (As per top of the e-mail they write USA/FBI)
