Hi everyone,

My parents are now in Canada with Super Visa and we just got a letter from our LVO regarding their PR application. My parents are asked to undergo medical examination and submit additional documents as well as their original passports. I am wondering about the medical examination, is it possible to use their recent medical examination which they took for Super Visa since it is valid for a year?

Timeline:
Application received August 2008
Sponsorship approved May 2012
File transfered May 2012
Medical and original passport request (letter and forms) June 2012

From Local visa office - New- Delhi, My parents just recieved mail in India to send the following information as below:

I need urgent advice from you guys as CIC given me only 45 days to complete all documents including Medical.

Questions:

Where I will get medical forms? Nothing comes with mail in India. - Do i have to download medical forms from CIC website if yes please provide me the details please.

Where I can get Schedule – A forms?

CIC did not send any Medical forms with mail and CIC given me only 45 days to complete all the required documents.

I am little bit in worry about these two issues.

Mail is a below:

This is refer to your application for admission in Canada

Compete or provide proof of completion of the immigration Medical examination for yourself and your spouse

attached details of Foreigh Travel Forms for both of you

Please priovide schedule - A forms fo yourself and your spouse which are completely and accurately

original passport for both of you.

Your urgent help regarding this matter would be highly appreciated

it's a good news - sounds like a medical request from ND...

hmmm... as far as i know you can not download medical form for parents from CIC website - it has to be send to you... did you check your e-mail? may be it was send by e-mail? or in a separate letter?

did you try to go to a doctor with this mail? May be he agrees to do medical without any forms - just based on the letter?

I confirmed with parents they did not received any medical forms in mail and even i did not received any e-mail as well.

Just a note to all who where crying foul, look at the post above LVO has started asking for medical and passport. So now it could be that LVO is faster because they are asking for passport, where as CPP-O people have only gotten medical request and their cases have still not reached LVO. And CPP-O cannot stamp visa in Canada.

I think when we did our medicals, we just took the letter to the doc and the passport. I don't remember taking any Schedule A form to the doc in India. Your best option, find a doc whom you will go for the test and before booking the appointment ask them what they need you to bring along. They will now the process well and will surely be able to tell you. Congrats and Good luck

That might be some good news.
LVO ND ask for passport and hold it for Long time. There still lots of people from 2007 applicant from ND havn't recieve anything !! lots of people's medical about to expires but haven't recieve passport back yet.

If you see 2009 applicant finish medical, Some of them almost in final stage. Whereas 2007 applicant havn't anything from LVO, Stuck with so called Qouta. Some 2008 already got VISA, who knows how many more. We don't have the big picture as a few people in the forum. This 6 month to 45 month variation in LVO was address by sponsorourparent in 2010.

Man as I was saying before to another guy, we are on this forum to get some hope, keep it positive. Also to help each other in the process, we are still better than what was happening before where they would move cases for one month in a year. Atleast something is happening, now I can understand how frustrating it is. But what can you do, CIC will do what they want and we have no control.

We are not in a race with anybody, we are here to stay informed. If we start comparing and then saying go to CIC and say you are being unfair, people will stop posting. I recommend for any other discussion, like fairness, processing times people should open new threads and discuss it there and who ever wants to participate can post comments on that thread.

I am not saying this because my file is being processed in a certain way. I am frustrated as much as you are, I see a lot of wrongs specially in respect to parent sponsorship(s), how people abuse the system. But I rather ignore them and look at the positives.

I believe in the glass is half full. Something is better than nothing.

About the 2008-2009 cases may be it is good, they are clearing them cause may be they think they have to do less with those cases, like security checks processing etc. And then they can concentrate on cases which requires more effort. Or may be they have started processing the cases that require lot of effort and in the meantime they are trying to clear the ones that require less effort. Now this is my assumption I could be right/wrong.

I know in India it takes a long time for everything, so security checks and everything moves very slowly.

My case is similar , fifteen days ago we did medical for super visa , now
I got medical request for PR application from ottawa
Letter clearly says any Medical done prior to this request is not valid.
So going again for medical this week . Does your letter says so?

My mom was in an exactly same situation. And our letter also said that medicals done before are not valid. I suggest that you go to exactly same doctor and explain the situation. Perhaps, the doctor will send a request to their regional medical centre. That what happenned to us and my mom did not have to do another medical.

Normally, forms are sent with the requst for medical. However, I know that many doctors' offices have them. For example, in Calgary doctors sometimes have forms on their own websites and ask to fill the forms out before coming to the office. So contact the doctor's office.

Hi Rick2007 - First of - congratulations on the progress we see on your application.

Regards Schedule A - is this the form CIC is looking for? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5669E.PDF

Medical forms have Sections A..D (or something like that) not Schedules. Call up the nearest DMP and inform them that you have not received the forms from CIC - better still - call up CIC (@ NDL) directly and inform them that the forms were not included in the letter. For medicals, you need original passport, so do not send the ppts until your parents have completed their medicals.
