Hello, I sponsor my mum and brother in 2008 and in feb 2013 they got a letter asking medical, p.c. And passport to send Delhi , now everything was done in feb,2013, is anyone know how long it gonna take for visa... Please advise, Thanks ...

dear friend, we undergone our medical 11.5 months ago, and still waiting for our visa, but most of the time you'll be given your visa within 4-5 month at least,(unless the applicant was in army,or got any special disease) in my idea!.good luck then!

How long after your file gets transferred to Vienna do medicals take? I've been waiting a year and they still havent requested medicals yet.

Issue is only 2-3 folks from vienna, and they already got their PR - its wasn't this long but didn't you have issue with not qualifying for sponsorship? as it could be that its on backburner OR they emailed it and you never got it

I'm waiting to get copy of my cousins passport so I haven;t ordered them yet. Vienna did contact me in January 2013 saying its still in process and within time frame. But I assume medicals would have been requrested now. And yes we did have LICO and we didnt meet the requirement but our file was transferred to Vienna regardless.

2. During the ordering process I get ask to choose: "What type of information would you like to request"? The options are: Electronic files OR physical files. What are the benefits of either option and Which option is better.

4. Is there any negative impact on file for ordering GCMS. like slower processing of file or something else.

1. this is the consent form i used. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5475E.pdf
2. choose electronic files. physical files is slower since they have to photocopy the file for you, electronic can be received through email.
3. email is faster.
4. no negative impact.
