What!!!shouln't there be a problem of her marriage age. I mean adult age for female isn't 18?

If any LVO would know about marriage age in India, it would be ND LVO - 2 common things they know of
1) Country of Birth - Pakistan, Citizenship: India for folks born that side before 1947
2) Marriage age in old day were 14, even 12 - its not their concern, just need to show proof

hi,

i got PPR & RFPR req in jan and we sent the pp in feb. the ecas changed to decision made in feb. i have not yet received my passport. the email(PPR) said that they would return the PP in 30 working days as our medicals will expire in june. it is very frustrating with cic ND. is this normal ?

I have "decision made" status since Jan/Feb as well. I ordered GCMS notes and they show the file is actually still "in-proces". I went to the local MP this week and they say the status change could have happened in Ottawa (pilot project and all that) but the actual printing of visa happens in ND in my case, so that causes delay.

Waiting to hear from ND what they reply to MP about status of my file

sorry to here sandy , I know its pain full when we waited 5 years to hope that we will get the visa by doing what they have asked to do and then we find out that you are not eligible that's just suks if they don't wants the dependent over 22 to come then just say it at first place so they don't wait and move on to something meaningful. I agree with user28 and ranja that they just pick over what's best suits to Canada.
just praying to god everyone get visa soon and be with their loved ones

I'm glad i found this site!

SO here's my story.... I started my application for my parents back in 2007. I received a letter back on May 1st 2012 stating that we werent eligible to sponsor because we do not meet the income requirements but they still sent it to Vienna office. We paid for all the fees that were associated and even paid for the permanent resident fee for my parents. I emailed the Vienna office stating that back in 2006 we did not make as much money as we do now and forwarded them a copy of our current t4's. It will be 6 years this year that this application is in process. Vienna has had the file for a year now. my question is, has anyone experienced this? Will their be a good outcome where my parents will be approved? HELP.

The main points are that they will limit the application to 5000/year , Increase income requirements and change the maximum age of dependents to 18 years!

Glad we all applied at the right time! Phew..

Just read the details of this and as people feared, its going to become very difficult now to sponsor parents.
Now sponsor would have to show income proof over 3 years before even applying, and that income is 30% more than current. So basically a new immigrant has to wait about 4 years before applying at all.
In any case they are only taking 5000 applications a year. Oh well!

Principal applicant have not received any letter....strange....Happy and relieved...sent a letter to CHC for receipt and completion of medical on May 15....Is there any one in Nov 11 batch got visa from LVO Islamabad?

Ohh finally the news ! Congrats .. Principal applicant usually gets's the mail late.. But sometime's they dont even send it.. Anyways you can email the docs to ur parents in pak and ask them to take the print outs of it..

Yes people have started getting visa's and ppr request from 2011 batch..

Unfortunatley, no updates from my side .. The ecas still show's application received along with medicals have been received..Lets see what their next step going to be.. But they are taking alot of time for our case compared to other's :S..

It says they issued 50000 visas in 2012 .I dont think so thats true coz there are even 2007 people still waiting for visas.

5,000 for 2014 - there goes the backlog for late 2009+ applicants, thats 5K will be eaten up by 2009 apps itself

So what happens to those who haven't been approved or file not started ? for eg,. Suin - do they have to demonstrate as per new rules?
