Why are they taking to long to Decision made? Getting stressed, i am only one left from june 2008 on Parent spreadsheet. Scared now and please can anyone tell average days of getting visa? Pcc is going to exprire in 2 months if it is valid for 6 months.

PCC is good for 1 year, shows 1 year expiry for us

I applied for my parents immigration in Sept 2009 and file was sent to india in Aug 2012.
got a letter for medicals and passport on Nov 27 2012 and medicals was done on Dec 24 and passports sent on Dec 29th.
so far havent heard anything and online status just shows in process- application received Sept 2009.

is anyone in the same boat ?

one of my friend applied fr her mother in April 2008, file transferred to india in April 2012, medicals done and passport sent on DEc 20, 2012. in Mid Feb the online status changed to MEdical received, and her mom received stamped passport with PR mid March.

would appreciate if someone have a similar situation and wouldnt mind sharing their status

Rest of process period is same but I applied in July 2008. I am surprised that we have difference of almost year of applying the case but medical and Passport request and Aor date is same. So, it is hard to tell what are the New Delhi office is doing?

I am hoping that we will get good news soon.

When the process was revamped in Nov, 2011 - all original application dates were out the window and a new queue was setup and it went by when one sent those required papers. Jackpot for late 2009 applicants as their wait time was much less than those compared to early 2008, 2007. As long as they jump started parents sponsorship, else we would still be waiting till oblivion due to the backlog

Word on the street is they will delay the current intake pause and might start in early 2014

Hi Shujath Ali don't know when we will get medical request i would say in coming few weeks/months :-/ not sure my file was transferred to ND in Sep 2012 no medical req so far.

yes they are taking long ,i am also from may 2008 ...medical and passport sent on 28 november 2012 ecas update 19 december2012......still waiting every day night pray to god .....

my status shows "Application recieved" but once clicked it has new sentence says "Medical results have been recieved". My understanding was they change the main status to "Medical Results Recieved", none the less it is good progress. Medicals were done on March 27th.

Maybe this response is a bit delayed. If you have received a letter from ND LVO, you have to reply to it. No harm in sending the FBI Certificate at this point. Especially, since its of no use to you lying around with you. If LVO needs it, you have handed it over to them. If they don't need it, they would keep it in your file. Either way, there is no delay in processing of your file.

Oh yeah, especially I know why they need it as per the notes. It's gonna get mailed today ( and this time I don't have to fly to India )
But I am so glad that I requested a newer copy for father's FBI 3 months ago with a spare fingerprinted ( that too 11 months old ) card I had with me. I had a feeling they would ask but sometimes I feel I should have just sent it then at times I think it's better they asked me - who knows this delayed anything but another masala in my lovely history as you know it
The new FBI PCC is valid from 21 st Feb 2013

Good for you! My mom's application is stuck on 2 points. Last month LVO asked for a PCC from Bahrain because of her frequent trips there (the last was ten years ago!), we had anticipated that and applied for it 4 months ago, its still pending In response to LVO's letter, we had mentioned the same and also provided an affidavit in lieu of the PCC. Secondly, on her medicals, they have noted that its deferred for "public health" for 15 weeks (which becomes due on June). So I do not expect to get the status updated to "meds received" any time soon. Thinking of getting a physical copy of the file to go through it in detail. But would wait until month end to see if they have noted anything regarding the PCC.
