Congrats Raj. So our earlier assumptions were wrong, CPP-O is moving forward with medicals and pcc. Thats good news.rajmalhotra7 said:Today, I have received letter (NOT e-mail) on my Canadian address from CPP-Ottawa requesting Medical and PCC for my parents. The letter is dated March 08. The reason is that I am a Representative for my parents and I did not provide my email address in Representative form (IMM5476E). However, i did provide my fathers email address in IMM0008.
So Shuga, you can expect to have your status changed by around first week of April.Shuga said:one guy form this forum:

Thanks sponsorparents. Now the real issue will start. My father had heart surgery last month. I dont know whether he'd pass the medical exam or not. Did you make yourself as a representative on your parents application. If yes, then you should get letter at your address, otherwise your parents will get back home. I'd say please check with CPP-O, if they mailed medical letter in your case. I know you didnt provide email adddress.sponsorparents said:Congrats Raj. I guess they were taking some time to process my applications or they might have sent a letter to my parents in back home.
Hmm... that's a tricky situation. I hope everything will be alright.rajmalhotra7 said:Thanks sponsorparents. Now the real issue will start. My father had heart surgery last month. my parents also did not submit a representative form - i'm not a representative... i thought that it might be easier for them to talk to a regional office directly then through me... but we wrote MY e-mail address in their IMM 0008... we also wrote MY canadian address as my parents mailing address... and i got an e-mail from CIC with medical forms...sponsorparents said:My parents didn't submit representative form (IMM 5476) but provided email address in IMM 0008.
this is my observation till now, smodhera said:Thats good news for those whose file transferred to Ottawa office for processing. We have not received any communication from Local office yet. As looking at the timeline, I think we are stuck again for 3 to 4 years... Wish all the best to other...
In my case I had lots of documents with mothers birth affidavit and other documents notarized and I think that is the reason case was forwarded to local office to get some knowledge in this matter... Lets hope for the best otherwise waiting journey began again....
can you try to get any papers from the hospital saying that the surgery went well and that no new surgery/serious treatment will be required in the nearest several years... something with very positive prognosis... and to prove that he will not require anything from canadian healthcare...rajmalhotra7 said:My father had heart surgery last month. Thanks Shuga. We will gather all papers regarding surgery and any follow-up tests after surgery.Shuga said:can you try to get any papers from the hospital saying that the surgery went well and that no new surgery/serious treatment will be required in the nearest several years... something with very positive prognosis... and to prove that he will not require anything from canadian healthcare...
