Is there anyone whose local visa office is New Delhi, India but file transferred to CPP-Ottawa and received request for medicals and pcc.
I am trying to understand the 'reasoning' for not receiving medicals request.
Hello,
My file got forwarded to CPP-O but local visa office is ND. I have not yet gotten medical /pcc email. I filed the forms electronically with barcode.
I will update the forum as soon as I have some thing to update.

Thanks
Vik

I think, with the introduction of GCMS, information is entered in the database locally in Canada. That may be the one reason additional documents were requested in November 2011
This reduces the load at local visa offices.
It is also likely that GCMS system is used to track the progress at local visa offices and accordingly transfer more cases to the local visa offices
At the same time local visa offices can track the files coming their way

- I provided mum's name in English as well as in local dialect (hindi) (has anyone else done this?)

My file is being processed in CPP-O but in I also provided all names in both English and original language (Persian)

Anyone with application for parents from China? Do you have any updates? My timeline is as follow:
Sponsorship applied - May 2008
CIC letter rec'd - Nov 27, 2011
Submitted additional info - Feb 23, 2012
Med request - awaiting

Here is a link to how GCMS is used by CPC's and LVO's

Is there anybody here, who submitted additional documents on about Jan 20th, receives approval letter?

I think that it does not matter whether one sponsored parent or parent with dependents for the file to be sent to Ottawa or to the local visa office.
It is not important whether the computer filled in application forms or not, it is another criterion that we still cannot discover what it is.
My file also is only with one parent, forms filled in by computer, so it is sent to the local visa office.

Most likely application that are fully completed with all supporting docs and a random pick by the officer goes to CPP-O.

A random pick really ??

A random pick is more likely than any calculated procedure. 15K applications would be processed by CPP-O and 22.5K by the LO.

*Most likely application that are fully completed with all supporting docs* - also it is not the criteria.
My file was completed even with PCC and all supporting documents.
Maybe it is something with for example something like - co-signers, situation of sponsor, single or not, funds...

Dear All, I think we will lose our hairs ::) (by continously scratching our heads) wondering over the criteria of CIC and still be never able to figure it out. By the way, I am really stressed out now of this waiting game. My docs were received on 2nd Feb. I hope to get some news by the end of this month. Anyone else send doc around that time, got any news or status change online?

Hi saini01, my docs were also recieved by CPC-M on Feb 02. Nothing yet.

I cant believe it will be random pick.. May I ask you, did you chose email communication or regular mail ??.. I think for you it may be because of an ID card with different spelling on it..
