That is true. How long it will take is a question all of us have. And every individual wants to know where does he/she falls in the queue. As per the letters sent out in November 2011, applications will be processed in the order they are received with all the required documents. Those who responded early and met the criteria started to receive approval decisions as early as January 2012. It seems , no one has received a final decision from Ottawa or Local Visa Office yet.

As i mentioned on my previous post i received e-mail from local office indicated that final process will take follow timeline:

Parents/Grandparents All Other Relatives
Confirmation of receipt of - 3 months / 12 months
First Review - 9 months / 36 months
Interview - 43 months / 44 months

So far the latest we have is request for medicals & PCC from Ottawa to Shuga and few others.

@ Shuga, I haven't received email from CPC-Ottawa yet. Not sure what was going on.. do you suggest me to follow-up and see what was going on?

My file was transferred on Feb 13 and I have not received request for medical yet. I don't think that there is any way to follow up. Call centre does not give any useful answer and online status is not updated in time.
I think the only thing we can do is to wait.

there was an e-mail address for CPP-Ottawa in the approval letter that CPC-M sent... it might be better than call centre... but i'm not sure...

I have a question for approved applicants regarding file transfer to local visa office and CPC-O as when one can expect any communication from CIC regarding application eg. after reading previous posts of file transferred to ottawa, it takes 15-20 days for requesting medicals and pcc, but does anyone know about the the local visa offices how long it can take to get any initial acknowledgement ( not to expect medical and pcc request).
Thanks

I am in 4th week but nothing from CPP-O.
I think you will get an acknowledgement email from local visa office stating the processing time could be up to 43 months.

Did you get any correspondence after you had submitted PPC and Medical?

my understanding is that DMP has to submit the medicals to a regional medical office... dont' think that DMP can give the medical results to parents - they might think that the applicant might want to make some changes to the medical results - so they will send them directly to a regional office...

you can ask DMP for the tracking number so you can track the delivery of the package...
