Thank you RajajiRajaJi said:No letter is required. Properly filled form along with consent and fees is sufficient. They do ask for copy of Passport or PR Card, if this is first request.
then you obviously can not check e-cas using her id...starzibal said:@ Shuga, after receiving AOR today, nothing I see on ecas. I am using my Client Id for ecas but my mom visited here 2 yr ago but she is not a principal applicant, my dad is. should i be using her client ID to check ecas even she is not a principal applicant?
@ Shuga, i dont even know her ID# how can i get her id?
I guess my ID that is. So they don't send AOR by email or update ecas status for AOR?Shuga said:then you obviously can not check e-cas using her id...
actually i just tried my father's ID - he is NOT a principal applicant - his ID is not working with e-cas... probably information about my father is not in the system yet... so i guess that you need either your ID or your father's ID to check application status...
no updated of e-cas status for AOR...starzibal said:I guess my ID that is. So they don't send AOR by email or update ecas status for AOR?

As far as i know u just need to ask a lawyer to make an affidavit and notarized it (they are proffesionals and they know what to put in the affidavit regardless of language) hope it helpsjasu said:One of my friend got medicals for her mother from CPC O, two things they asked for are:
1. Proof of relationship to the sponsor
2. Secondly the death certificate of his father.
Other than old passport he doesn't have any thing in hand. He already submitted the copy of the passport to establish the relationship between him and his mother.
I know that he needs a sworn affidavit from a lawyer to establish his relationship to his mother. eg marriage certificate of his mom and dad.
Please if anyone has the standard language of the sworn affidavit to establish the relationship. Please help me out.
I will be thankful to you all for the great help I am getting from this thread.
Waiting for the reply eagerly.
i believe that AOR can be either by regular mail or e-mail... you told that you have received AOR... was it by regular mail? i doubt that you will receive another one using different correspondence method... i believe CIC is sending only one AOR...starzibal said:after receiving AOR today, nothing I see on ecas.

The exact wording on an affidavit changes from country to country or region to region. Its best to contact a lawyer as they know exactly what to write and who should sign and attest. Just ensure that the affidavit contains the details of when/where your mother was born(including maiden name), when/where your parents got married (and their names) and when/where all the siblings were born (and their names). This gives the officers a timeline that corroborates the information on the passport and also that on the Family Information sheet.
