Long way 2 go buddy . it takes arund 1 yr 2 transfer case to lvo bt if it goes to ottawa then u r fortunate nd it ill process quite early.. Make ur fingers cross

That 20,000 people are for the current files that are being processed. I am talking about the number of people who apply in 2014, 5000 applications being accepted and 9000 people, none of them will be entering Canada in 2014 though.

I need some help actually I applied for my parents in 2008 and now I rcvd medical rqst along with updated documents they also ask me for RPRF receipt which I don't have this time I have ony one receipt of fee which I paid during time of application I paid
$ 550 for my father
$ 550 for my mother
$ 550 for my dependent who was over 22
$ 150 for my dependent who was under 22

my question is what is RPRF and how much I have to pay and what is the method of payment

Hello can u pls share us your complete time line bcs as i understanad 2008 file has completed thier medical one year ago so pls can u share ur timeline and one more thing, dependent who is under 22 trhere is no rprf fees over there , and after this u for parents uu can visit website

Principal applicants (with some exceptions) and spouses and common-law partners coming with them to Canada must pay this fee. Applicants must pay this fee before CIC issues the permanent resident visa or before the applicant becomes a permanent resident in Canada.

These people do not have to pay this fee:

dependent children of a principal applicant or sponsor, a child to be adopted, or an orphaned brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild; and
protected persons, including Convention refugees.

I have a question. I am a PR in canada, waiting to be a citizen. Married, but wife and step daughter are in the USA. I have not sponsored them yet and they are not financially dependent on me.

Now, I want to sponsor my parents but I am confused that whether or not to count my wife and daughter as family members or not. They are not living with me and not financially dependent on me. Also my wife cannot be a co-signer as the eligibility requirements are the same as sponsor. If I don't include my wife and step daughter then family members count is 3 for me and I meet the LICO but If I add them then it will make the total of 5 members and I don't meet the LICO then.

Can anybody assist ? I am thinking of writing a cover letter with my application and explaining the scenario. Any help will be appreciated.

According to Immigration guide your family members are spouse and dependent children whether they accompany you to Canada or not. So I guess in your case your total family members would be 5. I recommend you to call cic agent before you send in an application.
