My father's 2nd medical is about to expire :'( . should I hire a Immigration lawyer to deal with fuc*ing CIC or its just a waste of time & money.. :-\ :-\

When is your father's medical expiring? I can think of two things here. GCMS notes and MP enquiry. However MP enquiry is useless these days and GCMS notes take a month's time to be generated. So consult a lawyer and see if they are willing to be your representative and the prospects of the outcome of the file.aadi said:Hello,

You can apply once you have filed your 2013 taxes and have either an Option C or NOA for the 2013 year. CIC will be processing completeness checked on each application within the first few months the application is received. If you fail to provide 3 years of Option Cs / NOAs in your original application package then you can expect your application to be returned as incomplete.saggi_amy said:Hello Everyone,
Our combined family income for 2011, 2012 and 2013 is meeting the LICO requirement for a family of 6 however for 2010, we are short by $2100. On the CIC website, they have asked for the past 3 consecutive years which ideally are 2011, 2012 and 2013 which we are meeting. However, because we don't have the NOAs/ Option C for 2013, we don't have any means to prove that. Can we still apply? I have consulted some friends and have been advised that once they open the file in 1-2 years they will again ask for NOAs for latest years and we should be able to provide it then. I'd appreciate if you can share your views on this. Thanks and Happy New Year.
CIC has indicated that only Option Cs and NOAs will be accepted. So you won't qualify to sponsor any additional people until your 2013 Option C or NOA is available. If you sent your in-laws application now, you should expect it will be refused. I don't know if this will have an impact on your parents' application.saggi_amy said:Thanks for your reply Syclla. Can I not attach our 2013 last pay stub which shows the year to date income as a proof of meeting LICO for 2013?
Actually I have already sent application for my parents 2 days ago (cos we were meeting requirement for 4 people for all 3 years 2010, 2011 and 2012) and now want to send for my parents in law too so we don't have to wait for the next round. This makes us total 6 people and we are falling short by $2000 for the year 2010. That is why I want to use 2013 instead. What do you suggest? Can this complicate my own parents file too which I sent 2 days ago?

I am having a panic attach My UK visa expires on the 23rd of January 2014 before which I need my passport and my online status is- Application in process on 28th November, 2013.. How long would it take from then?zahramer said:Hey guys,
My brother sponsored my father in May 2008 and I was the accompanying dependent. We were requested for police clearance, passport and medicals which were completed and sent before 02nd august 2013. The online status now says that the medicals have been received (but that would only be for my father as his was an e-medical and my mom and I were paper medical, so I have no clue of our medical status). Is there anyone with a similar time frame?
I have to soon due to visa expiry (before Jan 2014) travel back to India from London and I plan to call back my passport in December. Has anyone called back the passport before? Would they be returning back only my passport? Also is it gonna cancel my application or only delay it further?
Confused :-\
Totally depends on the officer, might come back to youmssga said:Hi. Wondering if anyone has had any experience with this issue. I sent in my complete application for sponsoring my mother under the new parent/grandparent sponsorship pgm on Jan 2. However, looking over the photocopies I realized that I made a very stupid mistake. On one of the forms where I signed my name, i put the date as 2013-01-02, instead of 2014-01-02. This makes it look like I signed the form a year ago which obviously is not possible as they weren't out then. I called CIC and they suggested sending in a whole new application package as they are unsure how it will be handled.
What I am afraid of is - if I send a new application with an explanation letter of why I am sending a second application, and I don't make it in time for the 5000 cut-off, then I am just drawing more attention to the signed date error on my first application, which otherwise may be overlooked?
On the other hand, perhaps it is better to correct this error now rather than someone at some point in time, make a fuss over it.
Has anyone ever had any experience with this kind of situation or can suggest something? Thanks.
You in UK and passport in India, while your UK visa expiring on Jan 23?zahramer said:I am having a panic attach My UK visa expires on the 23rd of January 2014 before which I need my passport and my online status is- Application in process on 28th November, 2013.. How long would it take from then?
I have also written to CHC ND. How long does it take for them to send back passports.. Has anyone tried calling back passports before the process has ended
Stressed out ??? ???
Lol yes I am studying in the UK so I sent my passport back to India with a friend so that my parents could send it to CHC ND as they had requested for passports. They requested for the passports in June 2013 and so medicals and passports were sent on 29th July 2013petersiddle28 said:You in UK and passport in India, while your UK visa expiring on Jan 23?
Vow, when you extend visa - you need physical passport to extend?zahramer said:Lol yes I am studying in the UK so I sent my passport back to India with a friend so that my parents could send it to CHC ND as they had requested for passports.
