the bad news has arrived the thing I was afraid has happened, got the email from ND that my bro is not the dependent student they have given 30 days to reply with additional info they have also requested the sponsor original birth certificate, marriage certificate and gradeXII certificate.


Really feel sad and sorry as I had received the same type of letter for my sibling- informing me that my sibling is not a dependent and asked my parents if they have any explanation within 30 days. They sent a letter in March, but after that no answer until now. (They didn't even send medicals yet for my parents as file was transferred in June 2012)
It's devastating as we have waited for more than 5 years to hear that news. AWFUL.

bro they r removing dependents above 22 at the time of application wid any unexpected reasons...

Yes I ordered 3 times....I am waiting for the 3rd one, was ordered on July,6 but haven't recvd yet. I have one dependent on file who was slightly over 22 at time of application and I got the same letter for explanation in Start of Feb...and as per my gcms notes they have cancelled the security n other checking on her and in recommendations they delete her.....so she is out....however I've my one sis and bro who were 21 and 18 at time of application.....timeline is as follow

Original application- April 2008
Transferred ND- Jan, 2012
AOR frm ND- Feb, 22, 2012
Meds n pp request- Nov, 8 , 2012
Meds recvd on. Ecas- Jan 31, 2012
In process on ecas since April,3 ,2012

So don't knw what to do....I am really tired of this waiting...it's been 5 years plus 4 months already....

Notice – DNA Sample Collection Pilot Project

June 21, 2013 — Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) launched a pilot project in India (outside of New Delhi only) on May 17, 2013 to assess using the Panel Physicians network to take DNA samples, when required. Please take note that effective today, this project pilot is now being extended to New Delhi. DNA samples are sometimes used to establish a genetic link between parent and child for citizenship proof applications for children born through surrogacy. Panel Physicians are the same doctors currently authorized to conduct immigration medical examinations for CIC.

After the six-month pilot, CIC will assess the feasibility of using Panel Physicians to do DNA testing for citizenship proof applications for persons born in other countries.
