very bad news....who is responsible for that if dependent over 22 taking different courses of studies,, 5 years not a short period time,,then what dependent over 22 can do in this long period of time. i also waiting from 5 year, 8 months and my sister also 22 over when applied for application,,she done BA, PGDCA, MCA, M.TECH and now doing MA, upto mtech her field computer science, but now changed the field. Now i am also worried what will happen??Pari4u said:the bad news has arrived the thing I was afraid has happened, got the email from ND that my bro is not the dependent student they have given 30 days to reply with additional info they have also requested the sponsor original birth certificate, marriage certificate and gradeXII certificate.
I have lost the hope after waiting for 5 years this is what we get I need your help in writing the letter to ND with explanations here are the info about my bro,
he was over 22 when we applied,
he has done B com, then he did MBA from London, then he did Master of commerce and now he is in 3 year of BA bachelor of arts, the below is the word from officer. before enrolling in BA he did apply for the finance program in Canada and got rejected. soo please help me what should we say in reply .
As per the information provided, xxxx did his MBA from Columbus University which awards degree through distance education indicating that he did his MBA through correspondence. It is very unusual that he went to London to get enrolled in this course which would have been accessible from India as well. Moreover, after completion of MBA and Master of Commerce, xxxx is pursuing a course in Bachelor of Arts which is not a natural progression of studies.
This suggests that since attaining 22 years of age, xxxx is not actively pursuing a course of academic, professional or vocational training on a full-time basis and therefore does not comply with the definition of a dependent child.
I share your thoughts as well. If they asked me today, do you want your parents' passports back today without PR, I would say yes please. They had a 3 year tourist visa on those passports, which expired while sitting in some files under a pile. I might just have them over on super visa. I think of about 6 years that we have been waiting and its really frustrating. Only 15 days for medicals to expire. No hope really. Very bitter with the way things move especially in ND office. I wonder how they can ask equal pay for equal work if they don't even work on same standards as their peers in US or Canada who at the very least are little bit transparent and provide feedback.user828 said:Words can't describe it, even when I get it now - I am so bitter against these people, the charm of being Canadian has diminished. I got no respect left but my situation is such I can't turn back, if given the opportunity I would love to leave it but given too much time that it's not possible

You don't have option to change offices, once it goes to an office - its there unless they decide to change but its highly unlikely it will go from local VO to CPP-Otoronto30 said:hello everyone
does anyone know if I can change the VO from Singapore to Ott-P? after the file has just been transferred. Thanks. for Parents sponsorship.

Really feel sad and sorry as I had received the same type of letter for my sibling- informing me that my sibling is not a dependent and asked my parents if they have any explanation within 30 days. They sent a letter in March, but after that no answer until now. (They didn't even send medicals yet for my parents as file was transferred in June 2012)
It's devastating as we have waited for more than 5 years to hear that news. AWFUL.
Best of Luck.
no there is no other dependent only onejigar1502 said:its bad news pari4u ........
is there any other dependent on ur file ...?
I agreed with you sonu what I feel is that they don't want any dependent who were over age of 22 at the time of applicant and they are just rejecting them with one or other reason saying the course is not corresponding or its not fulltime or why they fail the course. the thing is they are not losing anything its us who lose as person waited for 5 years, what I am angry about is if they don't want the dependent over 22 then they should have said earlier so person just don't waste their time.sonu86 said:Oh no, u see it doesnt seem to the continuing study issue but the age.....even though some ppl will not accept my post but look in ur case they said he was not pursuing a course of academic, professional or vocational training and my sister they asked why did she do vocational training after her MA.....so it's one way or the other to delete no. Of ppl frm immigrating and believe me it's jus started after they so called fast processing..... My cousin came in 2011 and she completed triple MA, B.ed then pgdca and was about to take admission in Msc computer when got visa and she was 24 at time of application.....so, don't knw what to say but really hp and pray that they accept ur explanation and give ur bro the visa....
