There are many cases I read on this forum (not this particular) where IRCC refused/rejected applicants because of a missing document. One applicant assumed that they didn't need a resume when, in fact, a resume is a mandatory document. We cannot assume; we must be upfront with our documents. If it's that difficult to get that document, IRCC wants to see that you put extra effort into obtaining it. PCC request is usually requested when receiving AOR. IRCC won't specially ask for a specific country though for PCC.
so my parents lived in uae in 95-96 and then 2004 to 2019- that pcc is easy for us to get.
Pakistan-home country- pcc is easy to get
Qatar-96-97. Don’t have those old passports with visas as they are back home my parents are currently in Canada on supervisa. How can we get this pcc?

My parents also had to obtain a PCC from Qatar, and I can share some insights based on their experience. They went through the process at the Qatar Embassy in Pakistan, as they had lived in Qatar for an extended period.

From what I understand, Qatar only issues PCCs for the past 10 years. Since your parents lived there in 1996-1997, the embassy might not be able to provide a PCC for such an old period, especially without the supporting documents like old passports and visas. Here is an email from Qatar Embassy in Islamabad:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Note: This Qatar Embassy entertains the applications to get a Clearance Certificate from Qatar, only for the last ten years period, according to the instructions of the concerned authority of the State of Qatar.

- To apply for a Clearance Certificate from Qatar, firstly, you have to get a PCC from Pakistan, duly attested by MOFA, Pakistan and then by this Embassy. (Contact to M/S. Green Park O.E.P No. 051-2255567 or M/S. Sasha Intl. No. 051-2204469 (drop box facilitators) to attest the doc. from this Emb).

Requirements for PCC from Qatar:

1. Written application by the name of Ambassador, with the details of Qatar stay duration + purpose to get CC + cell number + email address + current address.
2. 4 photographs passport size.
3. Copy of current and previous passports + Qatar Iqama + entry & exit stamp pages (and copy of ID if there) .
4. Copy of concerned country immigration deptt. demand letter for Qatar CC.
5. Original PCC from Pakistan duly attested by MOFA and this Embassy.
6. (30) US Dollars or (110) QR in cash (Official fee of MOI + attestation of MOFA, Qatar) not refundable.
7. After applying through this Embassy, can be linked directly (ceid@moi.gov.qa) for further info.

Note: After receiving the original CC from Qatar, before handed over to the concerned, it should be attested by this Embassy against Rs.9000/-.

Note: After completion of the required documents,Contact this Embassy Nos. 051 2270833 or 051 2270768 Ext. 2 (visa section) before coming for submission of application.

(The processing time is approximately one & half - two months).

Thank you! So Qatar basically doesn’t issue at all prior to ten years? Or only embassy doesn’t? Would we have to show IRCC that proof that they don’t issue prior to ten years?

I believe the Ministry of Interior (MOI) Qatar doesn't issue PCCs older than 10 years (I read it somewhere in their application forms). The Embassies only forward the application to MOI in Doha. For IRCC you would still have to contact the Embassy for the official response and share that response with IRCC.

I just called embassy in Ottawa they said to email them the old patakas and they will provide additional info. Our problem is we don’t have any docs such as old residence visas or patakas they are all in old passports which are in Pakistan and parents are currently in Canada not easy to go back to Pak

Hi Everyone,
I submitted my application to sponsor my mother in July 2024. However, I couldn’t submit her PCC (Police Clearance Certificate) from India at that time. We recently received her PCC from India. How can I submit it to IRCC now? Please let me know.
Thanks!
Can anyone help with this question? Thanks

I have a unique question. Went to give biometrics today with my mom to service Canada. They kept saying they aren’t being properly captured and said they noticed her fingerprints have been faded by working in the kitchen and they will make a note. They said only 2 fingers could be properly captured.

I checked GC key and biometrics valid tool and it’s showing a new updated valid date for Nov 19 2034. And “valid”.

does it mean they were accepted ?

she has given them before as well in 2014 for Canadian visa too if that info helps

Do they always ask for police certificate from years ago or do they ask if it’s needed? Let’s say someone lived in a country for a year in 1995?
They asked from the year 18 until today where ever applicant lived more than 6 months. Better to get in advance. It save ur time

My parents didn’t remember the exact dates so they estimated best to memory on the forms/resume.

I’ve ran into an issue. My parents listed the dates they lived/worked in Qatar between 1996-1997 on all the forms and resumes etc based on their best effort basis on their memory. But the police certificate from Qatar has “to” and “from” dates listed on it. Which must correspond with their actual visa dates. Those dates are off by a few months.
So now I would have to submit a webform advising IRCC or the typo/error on the dates lived in Qatar because they don’t match with the dates exactly on the police certificate.

what is the best course of action here. We haven’t recieved the AOR yet but getting the police certificates ready
