Hi All,
Inside the invitation letter, it mentions: "You must upload a digital copy of this page under the section "Additional Supporting Documents" with the Document name of "Other" in the portal.
But, before Additional supporting documents there is already a section for invitation letter! I am confused. is this invitation letter different from the one we have received?

I would just upload in both sections to be on the safe side. No harm in doing that. That's what I would do. I had a similar question.

I actually have a question. I am sponsoring my parents - together we own property in Nova Scotia (purchased in 2016). I currently maintain this property and they stay there when they visit. They plan to live there full time once they receive their PR (stated in the application). I now live in Ontario with my wife (recently got married). Will that be an issue?

Hi friends i was filling the 1344 sponsorship form there is a one question 3. are you sponsoring a member of the family class or a member of the spouse or common law partner in canada class. what should be the answer yes or No. am confused the family class thing.

Am a canadian citizen sponsoring my mother who stays in india.

This is considered a family class sponsorship

Hello, we got the invitation to apply for parents PR. Is there any considerations (advantage / disadvantage) in having spouse as a co-signer ? Trying to take a simplified option.

Main advantage is the dual income (if both spouses work) as meeting the financial threshold to be able to sponsor your parents would be your main blocker

Hi guys,

Questions about personal history for principal applicant- if retired for the past 10 years do they have to fill out visits to Canada for 6 months or more (visitor extension) or that would have to go under travel history ?
My mom who is a principal applicant stayed in Canada during covid and had her visitor visa extended during that time so I guess that would have to go under personal history since she stayed in Canada over 6 months but all the other 6 months visits would have to go under travel history ?
Your help is greatly appreciated!

Also if I don't remember exact dates/months but will not leave any gaps, it should be fine? They don't go into details as checking exact dates?

Thanks! :)

There's a specific section in one of the forms that asks if the prinicipal/dependant applicants were resident in another country for more than 6 months. It has to go in there..don't remember where. You put the length of her stay there and her status is a visitor. That entire stay (not just the 6 months) should go under the travel history as well.

Do the best that you can with the dates..what I would recommend is using her email (to find bookings) and cross reference those dates with the passport stamps to confirm travel. It's annoying and tedious but it works

I have two questions regarding form IMM5768:

- For question 14, I need to provide the employment history and the gross income/benefits for the three consecutive tax years. I will include a line item from January to December for each tax year to match the notice of assessment. For Jan 2024 until Present, what should I insert as Gross income? Should it be the gross income for the year or for Jan to July since it is until "present"

[KK] yes, mention your gross income from Jan to July 2024

- For Question 3A. "Number of persons included in box#3 of the Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008)". I am sponsoring only my mother and I am single, so the family size is 2. If I insert the number from box #3 in IMM0008 in Question 3A, this makes the total in question 7 "total number of persons for the purpose of determining your minimum necessary income" as 3, since myself is included already in Question 1. What should I do?

[KK] In question 3A, the number of persons must be 1, since you are only sponsoring your mother. The rest of the section 3B, 4,5,6 all must be 0 so you have a total family size as 2
IMM 0008, is being filled by the principal applicant who is your mother so box 3 will have to be filled with "1" and not "2". Only your mother is to be included in the IMM00008 as the applicant you are just going to be a sponsor.

hope it helps.

hello friends, Is there any shared spreadsheet being maintained by this forum to track status of PGSP 2020-2024 applications?

I only realized this instruction in the invitation letter after submitting the application I had seen this instruction when the invite first came in, made sure to keep a PDF with this page only, but at last completely forgot to upload it as "Other" while finalizing things today based on documents and checklist :'(

I am gutted rn

Highly doubt it's a big deal if they provide a specific section for the actual document. As long as the document exists, it should be good.

Just submitted the application yesterday ... anyone received AOR yet LOL
