Hi there,
Today is such a happy day! I wanted to share that after so so so many years of waiting, we’ve gotten the invite today, at 10:15am EST. The first 2 digits of my confirmation were “88”. I’ve applied for both my parents on Oct 13, 2020, got the confirmation email on Oct 14, 2020 though. The invite came from the same email others mentioned here previously: CIC.CPCMississauga.
Keep believing in it and your invite will arrive as well!!
God bless you all!
congrats and good luck with your application.

Hi All,
Have a question regarding imm5768 (financial evaluation for PGP sponsorship) , can you advise about the item 14 in this..
The details should go as tax year wise or company wise.. lets say you were in same company for 3 year than to it goes in as one single item and the "Gross income / benefit for period" goes in as single value (which is sum of your salary for 3 years) ?

Hi folks,

Need some help please. I applied to pgp in 2020. My mother passed away a month ago. Got my invite recently. My father has had a second wife whilst my mother was alive. Is she eligible for sponsorship? I don’t think so, as per the eligibility criteria set out for the sponsor. What’s confusing though, is that why would they ask the principal applicant to specify their spouse, common law partner, and spouse’s dependents etc? My father, who would be the principal applicant, would specify his second wife as her spouse along with her dependents. How significant is that? Is it insignificant because the sponsor (I) can only sponsor blood relatives? I would appreciate your insights.

Cheers
Since your father's marriage to his second wife (married while your mother was still married to him) is not recognized by Canada, he cannot list her as "spouse".
But if they did live together for more than 1 year, I think he could list her as "common law partner".

You will need to have enough income to sponsor your father and his dependents (i.e. his common law partner and children under 22 year old if any)
