They both have to pass the medical exam for the application to be approved.
We were told the same and that’s why we are thinking about removing my dad as he might not pass the exam, due to progressive cancer, but my question is if we are able to do so and if yes how?

Removing a spouse is usually not allowed. Both of them have to pass medical. You may be looking into some special case. I know some people were able to remove a dependent (child that the PA has no custody and ex-spouse refusing to cooperate to go through medical exam) but I haven't seen a case to remove a spouse.
Maybe others have ideas on how to proceed.

I'm sorry to hear about your father's health situation. But I don't know if that should be a cause for you to worry. If you read on IRCC they say that they're concerned about contagious diseases that potential immigrants may bring to Canada such as TB or other infectious diseases. Cancer as we know is not contagious, that being said they may see it as a burden on the healthcare system. But so are many other non-life threatening ailments such as diabetes, arthritis, etc. and they don't eliminate candidates for having these ailments.

So if there's nothing that you can do in terms of removing your father from the application then just wait for a decision. Alternately you could seek professional advice from a lawyer or paralegal.

I have used this paralegal Mary Zhang in Toronto for advice re my parents immigration and she's quite knowledgeable, just sharing her contact in case you wish to give it a try -> maxcanvisa.com

All the best to you.

Hi my friends parents sent their passports to Delhi for PR stamping. It’s been more than 2 weeks since it reached Delhi India. No updates. How much time would it normally take for the stamping and passports to be returned?

thank you
Currently, the process is taking around 4-5 weeks. I received my mom's passport today, which we had submitted through the premium lounge service on December 19 2024.

Hi, I need help with this. I got AOR for my mother with a request to submit PCC, Passport, Updated address, and Email address.

My mother was in the USA from January to July 2024( 7 months), then in Canada from July to January 2025( 5 months), and now just went to the USA 3 weeks back. My mother has a US green card, Indian Citizen, and has Canada super visa. I applied for PR in July when my mother was in Canada and I gave her a Canadian address for her in the PR application. Her case is with CPC Mississauga.

I have the following questions.

PCC:
1.
As per the below AOR, I should get PCC for the current country of residence if they have resided there for 6 months or more. My mother is in the USA but only went there 3 weeks back. however, she lived for 7 months in the USA in 2024. She also has a USA green card. Should I get a PCC/FBI record for the USA?

2.
My mother is an Indian Citizen. As per the CIC website, PCC for India is through BLS. In the USA, I did not find a way to get PCC from BLS. But in the USA, VFS does provide India PCC. Can I get PCC for India through VFS?

Updated residential address:

1.
My mother was in Canada when I applied for PR. But she went to USA 3 weeks back. She has a US green card. She will return from the USA in June 2025. Should I give an update on her USA address? Will it result in her case being moved from CPC Mississauga and result in a processing delay?

2. If changing her address may result in a processing delay then can I still keep her Canadian address as she will still return to her Canadian address in June?

3. If I keep her Candain address, will it result in some issues?
(For example, if I get a medical request and she is still in the USA, will it be an issue?? Or I am taking India PCC from the USA and also taking the FBI record, will they object if I am still keeping her Canadian address?? or do they know from border records that she is not in Canada at present???)

Passport/Travel Document:
1.
As per the AOR letter, I need to provide a passport If the principal applicant's passport has expired or will expire within the next 12 months. My mother's passport has expiry in 2031 and I already submitted it with the PR application. Should I still send it?

FBI Record:

To get a USA PCC/FBI record, my mother needs to give a fingerprint. However, due to old age, she does not have ridges in her fingers and her fingerprints are not readable by fingerprint scanners. Does anyone know what is the solution in this case?

The AOR is below:

In order to minimize any delays in processing your file, the following documentation is required for your sponsored family members. If not already included in your application, please obtain and submit as soon as possible:

•Police Certificate: The principal applicant and their dependant family member (if applicable) must provide police certificates from:
•Their current country of residence if they have resided there for 6 months or more, and
•The country where they have spent most of their adult life since the age of 18 (if different than current country of residence).
Your relative is required to obtain the police certificate from that country’s law enforcement authorities. Please send a copy of the original police certificate to this office as soon as they receive it. Follow these instructions to ensure you provide the correct police certificates: www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/index.asp.

•Passport/Travel Document: If the principal applicant and/or their dependant family member (if applicable) have passports that have expired or will expire within the next 12 months, please have them apply for and submit a copy of their new passport with a validity of 12 months or more. Please ensure to include the biographic page of the passport.

•Updated residential address: You are required to provide the current residential address for the principal applicant and their dependant family member (if applicable). You must report any changes to their address, telephone number(s) and email address immediately throughout the processing of your application. Failure to provide updates may result in processing delays.

•E-mail Address: Submit a valid email address for the Principal Applicant and/or their Authorized Representative. This email address will be used to communicate with the Principal Applicant and their dependant family member (if applicable) throughout the processing of their application.

Methods of Submitting Documents
Please only submit the requested information and documents via one of the following methods:
•You may submit your documents via email. Please include “PGP-APR” and your file number in the subject line of the email to: IRCC.CPCMParentsandGrandparents-Parentsetgrands-parentsCTDM.IRCC@cic.gc.ca.

PLEASE HELP GUYS, I NEEED YOU HELP PLEASE PLEASE : (

Hello,

So I applied in 2019 to the pool to sponsor both my parents, back then I was with a common in law relation (just a girl friend, no marriage, no kids), so she did co-sign with me as well (even though I did not need her, since I exceeded the minimum financial requirements, please do not judge on that, its the past ...).

When I got selected in the pool in 2023, we were seperated (so I was single again), did apply officially to IRCC just myself, and put an explanation letter obviously and just my documents since I were single ( I am still single), and again obvisouly I was fullfiling the financial requirement even by being single + 2 parents = so family member number is 3 !!!

They check 2020, 2021 and 2022 years for money, and the officer this WEEK, HE BASED HIS CALCULATION ON A FAMILY OF 4 !!!!!! INSTEAD OF 3, like he count her even though we are not in a relationship anymore, and I did not ADD HER income ANYWAY in the official 2023 application ... CONSEQUENCE I do not fullfill requirement for 2022 based on 4 people, BUT WE ARE ONLY 3 + I did not add her income obvisouly since we are not together any more. AND YES I DO fullfil financial requirement for 3 PEOPLE so me and both parents for all the years.

So last week officer sent letter than i do not quality for 4 people and they will cancel my application !!!!

He obvisouly made a mistake, I need some legal texts and acts on IRCC to show him, he is wrong, but I need texts, proof from IRCC website or somethere to challenge him ASAP please : (

This does NOT make any sense, to add my ex in our family, knowing that she is not family member anymore + her income was NOT included.

PLEASE GUYS, I have BEEN WAINTING SINCE 2019 for my parents, its been 6 years :( : (
PLEASE I NEED YOU GUYS.

I have contacted my MP and send emails so far. But need some solid text from IRCC that will put him at wrong doing and put my application back

please please :(

He added your Ex based on alimony and settlement. So if you can plead with your Ex to submit her NOA for the three years better for you.

Hi, No. they don't need to go back to India. You can submit a web form or email them to update them that your parents are in Canada on a SuperVisa.
When you receive a PPR letter it mentions that if your parents are in CANADA then you can do Inland Landing Online there is no need to submit passports but you have to inform them that your parents are in Canada.

Thank you so much. Also, do you know how can I know if I submitted Inland application or outland application?
